Stuart Attwell will be back in the Premier League this weekend, replacing Mark Clattenburg. He has had two years in the lower leagues, and has worked his way back to the top.

What did he say?

In reply to a Tweet that he was tagged in "Maybe QPR will sign a good CB they need one"" he replied "get ya mum in, plays the field well son! #sket"

I suppose the message is you have to be responsible when using Social Media if you are a high profile person/role model.

Acting like a cock isn't a banning offence and he has probably said a hell of a lot worse on the pitch but if you use Twitter, you know the abuse or sarcy bollocks (which the Tweet he responded to was) is going to come and they have to rise above it. Going back with crappy, offensive comments achieves nothing really. Still a new area they authorities are dealing with and over time the bans will settle down but early doors they will be like this to try and get the message across.

It's his first appointment (the game he did afterwards he was already booked for) since he sent off Milijas. A decision that was upheld by the FA, but then Attwell was quietly stood down......

It was upheld because Attwell had to admit he got it wrong and he refused. So only Attwell and Tim Nash thought it was a red card.

Warrington Town's FA Cup first-round tie v Exeter City will be televised live on the BBC on Fri, 7 Nov

I don't think Attwell was quietly stood down. He, his mentor and the referees association were informed that he was being taken off Premier League games. It was also on the FA website, and the media were made aware of it. Stuart had some difficult times, but has worked very hard and deserves another chance in the Premier League.

So has he learned to not be an arrogant prick and to admit when he makes a mistake?

Alan,Stabæk safe and sound midtable.Bob did an excellent job.He says we Norwegians need to come out of our shell!

I naturally refuse to oblige.

He's apparently in the running for the Rosenborg job.Shell is/was one of their sponsors!

Cheers, mate. Should be interesting to see where he winds up.

Steven Gerrard says that he intends to play on after this season, though he might need to leave Liverpool to do so.. Where would he go?

MLS, Indian Premier League, Dubai.

Can't see anyone in the Premier League taking him apart from maybe QPR if they survive.

Liverpool connection & Morgan? :icon_wink: #pointlesswindup....
