Thoughts out to his family. Those flips always make me nervous.

I guess it would happen sooner or later..poor guy

That's an appalling article! :icon_lol:

Moaning about Arsenal fans being obsessed with that team - oh the irony.

Harry v Taraabt - Round 3

The war of words between Adel Taarabt and Harry Redknapp rumbled on today, with the latter claiming the midfielder has only lost weight due to tonsillitis.

Following his side's 3-2 defeat to Liverpool, Redknapp hit out at the Moroccan midfielder, suggesting he was three stone overweight.

That claim was refuted by Taarabt, who showed off his physique in a series of photos – to which the QPR boss responded by saying: "Even I could suck my stomach in for a picture and look OK.”

In a stunning outburst in the Sun, Redknapp labels Taarabt "he worst professional I have ever come across" and says that "I have protected him for too long".

“The only reason he has lost weight is because he has had tonsillitis," added the former Spurs manager. "That’s the only way we could get any weight off of him.

"The fitness coaches at QPR, everybody tells me he doesn’t try. He doesn’t want to run around. I have tried to protect him until now but the fans have to know what’s going on."

Taarabt earlier criticised Redknapp in the Daily Mail, claiming the coach 'spends most of the time in his office but when he gets off the phone he comes down to watch for five or 10 minutes - he never takes a session."

Taarabt also defended his role in the side following Redknapp's comments.

"My job is to create, bring goals to the team," added the trickster. "Maybe he expects me to make more tackles. I am not this type of player."

Yes, and to publicly slate one of your own players in every rag who'll print your words is the absolute pinnacle of professionalsm, ain't it 'Arry, you loveable rogue, you?

I don't often defend Redknapp, but I'm more on his side here. He is undoubtedly having to deal with all kinds of spackery from the mouthbreathers, Taarabt is a big favourite with the fans despite being a lazy bastard. He should be dealing with it better but remember all the nonsense we had when Eastwood was rightly being left out of the team because he was bone idle and shite? Must have driven Mick up the wall and it wasn't fair on the players who were actually working hard to get in and stay in the team.

Also Taarabt is now on his third PL season with QPR, he was at Fulham last year and at Spurs before that. Every time he has made absolutely no impact and there have always been questions about his attitude and general fitness. I saw him play last season for Fulham at Upton Park with him playing just off Darren Bent - two absolutely disgraceful footballers. Both clearly visibly overweight and put no effort in. The fault almost certainly lies with him, he has serious form for all this. He openly says he has no interest in doing any work off the ball, his job is to create - fuck right off with that. If it's good enough for the likes of Gareth Bale to do their share defensively then I rather think Adel "7 goals in 80 Premier League appearances" Taarabt isn't exempt from it.

FA:- Can you please explain your comments Mr Monk
GM: - I called him a cheat. I should have said he was a diving, cheating twat who I'd like to slap.
FA: - So nothing to do with the referee, that's all good, on your way now.

QPR rumoured to be considering fining him.

Interesting this. Only a week or 2 prior, arry slated his whole team for not being fit.
He's been in charge long enough to be responsible for managing the team, their fitness, their regimes etc. The players who've come in were bought by him, so imo he has no excuses whatsoever.

At what point does he cease to be accountable for his own inaction?

The moment he opens his trap. Classic deflection ploy from Floppy. I saw that Fernandes had waded in and told them both to keep it internal. So Fernandes is following this nonsense rather than considering his manager is the ultimate busted flush, and was actually holding about 6 high in the first fucking place.

Even when QPR play well he manages to fuck it up. Why in the world was Nedum Onuoha the man to make way for Phillips on Sunday? Idiotic decision IMHO, Onuoha was one of their best players in the first half and Dunne is so beyond being done it's almost silly.

Onuoha was injured.

I can't abide the man but I thought Redknapp got his tactics pretty much spot on on Sunday. It wasn't cultured or sophisticated but he knew he had a player who could bully their back four and they played it right. If that lackadaisical tosser Fer could shoot they'd have won.

I thought Fer played quite well tbh
