Booked my tickets for Star Wars!

And me. Can't wait

First impressions from the premiere (reviews are embargoed until tuesday) sound awesome.

Going to the Imax at the science museum to watch it. So ooo excited...

So is anyone going to see The Last Jedi at midnight tonight?

I would have been but I've got my kids tonight, so I'm seeing it tomorrow night. Which will mean staying off the internet tomorrow daytime to avoid any spoilers! I might actually have to do some work instead.

I've been doing the Machete Order for the past week or so, and just have The Force Awakens to watch tonight - which is now on Netflix. Marvellous.

I thought about going tonight, but I'd probably end up being too sleepy. Think I'll wait until tomorrow.

I feel the same about the Pitch Perfect franchise.

Am I the only person who has Mark-levels of couldn't-give-a-shit about Star Wars?

I think I've watched one of them all the way through, ever, when I was about eight or nine. Couldn't even tell you which one. Seen 20-30 minutes here and there since and they seem awful to me and have to go off :icon_lol: Shocking dialogue for a kick off. But then they are aimed at children...

Not my bag at all and like all things sci-fi the franchise attracts some deeply unsettling fans*. I can smell the TCP from here from tonight's premiere.

*Hi Langers

I'm planning to go during the Christmas break.

I'll probably take my son to see it once he's finished school - he's not seen a Star Wars film on the big screen before. He'll love it!

Not seen any of them really. And too many other things to watch to make room for like 12 hours of Star Wars. Probably more, I'm going off 6 films * 2h.

I was actually tempted by the midnight showing of Star Wars tonight as I'm not at work this week. But it's two and a half hours! Plus the 25mins of ads/trailers at the start. Means I wouldn't come out of the theatre until 3am. Who the hell goes to these? I checked and Cineworld have put on a second screen as the first one is almost full.

I REALLY enjoyed The Force Awakens last night - haven't watched it in a while but it's a cracking film, so much better than the prequels and good enough to be grouped in with the originals IMO. Amazing what a bit of decent onscreen chemistry can do, and there's loads of it in TFA.

I'm now ready for tonight - I'm not going on Twitter today just in case some dickhead tries to post spoilers. Very excited!

Just sat down to watch it. Also watched TFA last night to get in the mood. Have avoided all trailers and previews, and am really looking forward to it.

I've seen the main trailer, but nothing at all since then. I've deliberately avoided them!

3 of the guys who work for me went.
I was going to the view...
They were doing back to back screenings of the Force Awakens, and the Last Jedi.
However I was laid up with Man Flu, so will probably see it on Friday after the Wolves game

I'll be taking a friends son to see it. No date planned, but it'll be during the hols. We've developed a christmas tradition of me taking him, that started because both of us wanted to see one of the films, and neither had anyone to go with.

I saw some of a new hope many years ago, but it didn't grab me. At Uni my mates were all huge star wars fans. They never managed to understand I'd never watched the films. When they were re-released, I got to see every film for the first time on a big screen, and have carried that on. All my ex uni mates that I am still in contact with were/are jealous, as they saw empire, jedi etc on video.
