I don't want to ruin the Christmas films thread with such a negative post, so here's my review of Deck The Halls:
Deck The Halls (2006 - suitable for no-one)
"Dad - can we put this Christmas film on from Netflix?"
"Sure, kids. We've just put the tree up, we're all smiling and happy, basking in the glow of the lights with a wonderful feeling of festive radiance washing over us. That's a GREAT idea. Hey - why don't I get some snacks for us all whilst we laugh, assuming we're not all laughing too hard (for that would be a choking hazard)."
"Great idea, dad!"
"Yeah dad, this will be wonderful - the first festive televisual feast of the Yuletide Period."
<Puts film on>
[Approximately 90 minutes later]
"I hate everything and everyone. Get those decorations down - I don't care if you tear them. Then remove yourself from my company as I have zero goodwill towards mankind, even those I've spawned. I've cancelled supper, and I'm cancelling Christmas."
"Fair point, dad."
"Don't call me that. It's evidence of a once happy union. Go to your room."
0/5 - would not recommend
