The Film Thread

I'm glad I chose to do some Xmas shopping and watch The Force Awakens instead of Wolves!

Very enjoyable and holds its own with the original trilogy.

It's just sinking in how good Star Wars was. Some bits were glorious and I'm not ashamed to say that parts of it gave me goosebumps and left me a bit joyfully teary eyed! I was like an excited little kid sitting in my seat waiting for it to start!

Totally brilliant. I loved it and it was just what I wanted it to be.

Roll on episode VIII!!

Just bought SW tickets for the 28th for me and the kids, at the BFI Imax at 7.45am. Breakfast and a day out in London afterwards. I'm by no means a SW fanboy but that's got me quite excited.

I don't think I could watch a film that early in the day!

We wanted to go to the Imax for my birthday as I've not been before, and all the other shows were sold out apart from the midnight one. It will be like old style Saturday morning pictures. Just on a Monday. And a lot earlier.

Does the BFI IMAX show in 2D as well? That's the only thing that's puts me off IMAX, forcing you to watch in 3D.

It was fine when I went to see Gravity in Broad Street but that was a film made for 3D.

They do but sadly ours is 3D. Like you, I'm not a fan, it just gives me a headache, but choice was limited.

I'd go and watch it again at that time of the day!! We saw it in 3D and it worked great. I think it's a must for the big blockbusters - saw Jurassic World in 3D too.

Well I'm an excited Star Wars geek. Less than 3 hours to go til I see it. Can't wait - I'm sat in a pub trying to calm myself down.

That is the funniest post I have ever read on a football forum. Hahaha

I saw Star Wars in 3D too and really enjoyed it. It was the first film I have ever seen in 3D at the cinema.

The 3D was seamlessly executed, I was highly impressed.

Just bought tickets for myself and my 7 1/2 year old for 10am on the 27th :) Only found out now that it was recently made legal here to take a child to see a movie for the 12+ age group so after resigning myself to waiting for the DVD this is like an extra Christmas pressie to the pair of us :)

10am? Lightweight. :)

The 33.

A film about the Chilean miners who were stuck underground for 2 months. It's not the best film in the world but it's giving me serious claustrophobia!!
