The FIFA Debacle

Why am I immediately thinking of Team America and Sepp singing "so ronery"?
 
While I still expect Sepp to wangle his way out of it, it will be absolutely glorious if this brings an end to his Presidency.
 
He has fought off many investigations over the years. However, this is now criminal and under US jurisdiction. Hopefully the corrupt little cunt has met his match. Such a shame that Switzerland now has an extradition treaty with the US.
 
Sense here seems to be that the FBI doesn't yet have enough evidence to really nail Blatter so they've arrested the other 9 people hoping someone will break ranks and rat him out.

Or show them some nice Supermax prisons and see if they fancy spending the rest of their days in one. I hear San Quentin is lovely in the summer.
 
I cannot see that it is correct for the Presidential election to go ahead. It should be postponed until investigations are complete.

If Blatter did resign then that would leave Prince Ali bin al-hussein as the only candidate, and therefore President of FIFA, but Blatter will not resign.
 
So 6 of the 7 will oppose extradition to the USA, does that mean they're are never leaving Switzerland.
 
UEFA could force the issue by withdrawing its member countries from the 2018 World Cup.
 
Ooooo - Blatter told he cannot leave Switzerland. BANG. They are going for him.
