What's the problem with calling someone a pussy?
Apart from being rude obviously
If he connects with the ball, not really.
You have an issue with pussy, but not nonce which was literally in the post above yours?Doesn't really change the gendered nature of either word.
Last I'll say about it, carry on.

Does getting the ball make any difference? If he connects with the ball, not really.
It's a more offensive term than pussy imo, although I don't have an issue with either in the context they were used. Didn't know it was a purely UK term tbfHow on Earth would Alan have any idea about nonce?
It has different connotations and historical usage in the US than here I would say.
no it doesn't.
Take your word for it, but always seemed more of a virulent insult over there. Wouldn’t care less if someone called me a pussy here, whereas over there I’ve seen people get angry / upset.
Then so is cunt which is used constantly on here, including by myself. Words evole from their original meaning. The fact that a female body part is used as an insult is the problem. If it's so culturally different between our two countries as "faggot" (pardon my use of it here), then I'll withdraw my complaint.
I have no idea what a "nonce" is. I've never heard it spoken out loud by any American. I only know it contextually as an insult, but couldn't even begin to guess at what sort.

It was a prison term which has crept into everyday use.
It stands for Not On Normal Communal Exercise and was used by prison officers/prisoners for sexual/vulnerable offenders. It's grown in the mainstream to become a term almost exclusively for paedophiles though.
