The F1 Thread

The rest of the grid is fine.
All season flipping between Aston, Merc, Ferrari and McLaren for the 2nd best team.
Albon dragging the Williams up from the arse end.
Just 1 man ruining the fun for the top spot

Just watched it. Was decent drama as Nando says.

Aston have dropped off a cliff though haven’t they? Not been in the mix for ages now?

I simply can’t be arsed to watch any more. There is n point tuning in when you know who is going to win every single race. Pretending some decent racing for minor spoils makes up for this is frankly nonsense.

Combined with that smug cunt Horner who is one of the most punchable people on the planet it’s a complete turn off.

Alonso was P2 last weekend! They've slipped back no doubt, but Monza was never going to suit. I'd expect them (well, Alonso) to be back fighting for the podium at Singapore.
Didn’t watch it 🤣

My interest is so low I have no clue what happened in last weeks race. Think I only realised there was race weekend on the Sunday and then never bothered to investigate or even look at the result!

Haven't missed it at all. In fact, I'm wondering where I found the time to waste every other Sunday for the past 20 years.

Inbetween dodging Lizards on the track, P1 on the slightly changed Singapore track was very close indeed

Finally, it looks like we might have a competitive race this weekend. Can't quite figure out what's gone wrong for Red Bull this weekend, haven't paid close enough attention yet, but looking forward to it.

They were saying they expected to struggle this weekend.
Some changes to the flexi wings rulings might hurt them but won't know until the next couple of races

Mad that the track is described as so bumpy, I ran the lap earlier this year and thought it the smoothest bit of tarmac I’ve ever been on!

Good find that. Very interesting read. Ever since the regs changed, ride height has been the newey delivered advantage in the red bull. They are lower without the bouncing.

Lance Stroll is missing the race after his crash in qualifying.

Because it happened then, Aston don't have the ability to put a reserve driver in the car.

I found it depressing that they think the car will be the best again at Suzuka.

The other teams engineers really need to sort their shit out and design something competitive next year.

Well, I was thinking similar but it was an intriguing set of strategies that was going to play out in 20 minutes or so. But then Sargeant did that. Could easily see him dropped next year. Russell has a chance today now, maybe even Lando.

Well this is complete and utter shite. These cars are a fucking disaster.
Those last 7 or so laps had the potential to be thrilling. Instead it was just a procession.

Because DRS is shite. Deliberately slowing to give the car behind some DRS so he can stay between the leader and cars on fresh rubber isn’t exactly what it was designed for.

I’m not sure why it was a fabulous drive by Sainz? Just had to drive slow the whole race. Then when the guy behind him went slower, go slower still to tow him along.
