You might well be right but I’d never write off Mercedes, particularly Hamilton. Annoyingly I won’t be around to watch quali but I’ll get up early for the race even though it’s usually a bit dull I just love the start of a new season.

Shame Williams are so shit, I feel like Clare Williams should step aside at some point although tbf I’m not sure how much of it is her fault. The good thing is it looks pretty close between 4th-9th in the constructors and Max splitting the Ferraris is a good sign too.

Williams were abominable last season. At Silverstone there was a safety car and they let the two Williams through the pack to unlap themselves. 2 laps later when the safety car finished they still hadn't caught up with the pack and were still half a minute behind.

It takes some effort to actually make that car worse.

They just don't have the money to do things properly. Struggle to attract a title sponsor with serious money as well so they are just falling behind each season.

Feel gutted for him today.

Listened to the race on our drive back from a weekend up in Yorkshire and the pain in his voice when he lost power and he knew the win was gone. Thankfully a safety car bagged him 3rd or he would have finished behind Max without it.

The race sounded superb with some great action and Seb losing his shit again under pressure. Looking forward to watching the race later.

Lewis was very classy afterwards too.

I had some big reservations about Lando before this season, but fair play, he was immaculate this weekend.
