The F1 Thread

They are trying to make it affordable for the small teams. Otherwise ends up a 3 team sport.

I want to see racing to the maximum potential without having to worry about spending too much etc but without the regulations there may not be a sport at all.

Thing is the smaller teams end up using more engine parts and then spend half a season starting from the back of the grid and potentially miss out on points from the constructors table. So not really saving them money.

Last season was pushing it with 4 for 20 races, this year it is 3 for 21. I'm not sure what the answer is but the current system for me doesn't work.

It does work sometimes tbf, we’ve had some excellent races this season. This one was awful but it seemed like the performance gaps between the cars was a bit too much for anyone to chase anyone down so they all just settled for what they had and turned the engines down.

Horror shunt for Ericsson.

DRS failing at Monza is not what you want.

Good to hear he's OK.

Brain dead from Vettel.

Should be getting a penalty for an unsafe release too.

And yet the cretins are out on the race feeds trying to blame Hamilton. Unbelievable.

Absolute bonus win for Hamilton there. Vettel will end up fourth with the Verstappen penalty, but that is a serious widening of the gap before Singapore.

Brilliant drive from Lewis to win that. So rare to see so many laps where the Merc can stay within 1 second of a car.

Great team work from Bottas as well to hold up Kimi for a spell.

Vettel nabs 4th as Max has another brain fade and gets a time penalty that moves him from 3rd to 5th.

Honestly must be terrifying going anywhere near Verstappen to try and overtake knowing he’ll just run you off the road if you try anything

He is going to end up with a race ban soon surely. The stewards are going to have had enough.

Romain Grosjean has been disqualified from sixth place in the Italian GP after the floor on his Haas car was ruled illegal. (Renault raised the complaint)

Stoff leaving McLaren.

Leclerc to Ferrari happening again, apparently.

Kvyat going back to Toro Rosso.

Really hope McLaren get their a together, excited to see what Norris can do

Another promising career ready to be ruined, I fear.

It's been an absolute graveyard for new drivers in the past decade.
