McLaren can't be judged properly until Honda are able to run the engine at 100%. They couldn't use the ERS in Australia and that's pushimg towards a 200bhp deficit to the Mercs.

Rosberg was being a clown today. Lewis will obliterate him this year. Great lap from Seb too.

Of course he didn't block him. He just made sure he had to pass him round the outside off line in a way that compromised his entry to the corner. It was a cunts trick and the sort of thing that's becoming a habit with Rosberg.

Hamilton beat him and didn't want to get caught up in the mind games as he knows ignoring it takes him a further step up mentally over Rosberg. I noticed it live and all commentators did. There is no way Hamilton didn't. Just using it to his advantage

First time Mercedes have had to race with a strategy and they failed. Maybe out of practice? Looks like there may be a fight this year though which should make things interesting

Really good pace by Ferrari all weekend which is encouraging and Williams looked better as well.

I bet Nico feels a berk now for saying he hoped Ferrari could catch up.

I don't think anyone expected the ferrari to be able to compete so well with mercedes this soon, great race though - I thought this season was going to be a procession?

Top drive from Vettel and nice work from Ferrari for sticking to their plan despite the early safety car. For whatever reason the Ferrari kept the tyres longer than the Mercs and that gave them the edge. Lewis could only get 5 or 6 laps before the performance went. Frustrating drive for him as it appears Merc were chopping and changing their tactics from the 4th lap. Thought Nico had a poor race, never really pushed and 2nd place was up for grabs considering the tyres he was using for the final 10 laps.

Verstappen is also shoving the words of a few back their throats with a points finish in his 2nd race.

Poor from Mercedes today, but I think the lack of race simulation for Lewis when he missed the practices really showed. Still only 10s behind after doing one more stop shows they still have a decent advantage.

Vettel & Kimi were showing good pace in the long runs in the Practice sessions and it looks like it will be a warm race day which means it could be a replay of the last race as they are better on their tyres.

I would not be surprised if Vettel took one of the Mercedes cars on the first couple of bends. Rosberg will not be happy at being behind Hamilton again, and he might just leave a gap as he attempts to take him from the start.

The mercs used one less set of tyred in qualifying, so should be able to nullify the Ferrari advantage

Comedy scenes as the Stewarss struggle to get a Toro Rosso car through the pit wall. Hamilton controlled this from start to finish but the race will finish under the safety car. Even managed to annoy Rosberg, who wanted him to drive quicker! Seems an odd thing to say when you want to win a race, regardless of tyres

Rosberg proper chucking his toys out of the pram over Lewis slowing his pace before the 2nd pit stop. Has Mr Rosberg forgotton what job he does? Surely if the man in front is going slower....you try and go over take him. I know he has to look after his tyres but moaning about a slow pace and keeping out of the turbulent air is beyond stupid. At some point you have to get in that air of you want to win a race.
