The Definitive TWF Wolves XI Thread (1970 - present)

Robbie Dennison

Don't ever remember him playing on the right for us. Not even one game like Emblen and his RB shenanigans. Playing at LWB when he was about 57 was surreal but pretty sure he never played at RM/RW. You're going to have to try again :D

Sometimes it can be approved and applauded.

For example Jack Price v Watford just moments after a cheat had got Sako sent off he fully nailed the culprit and got a near standing ovation for it.

Saiss nailed some bellend vs Brentford last season after they'd kicked shit out of Bod for the last 20 minutes. Fair play.

He played on the right a couple of time for Northern Ireland...the defence for Langers retires.

Helder Costa
Michael Kightly
Steve Kindon

He was right footed and I literally can't think of anyone else. I was going to put Carl Cort for shits and giggles.

In the 4-4-2 would the right midfielder be a winger?

So long as they played from the right (genuinely) then it's fine.

We didn't often play a right winger under Turner in particular, it was Dennison on the left, two CMs and then another CM tucked in on the right. Standard 80s tactics (as described in last week's Turner article)

Depends who is the manager....

Turner rarely used a right winger and Mick played Henry, Foley, Gibson, Keogh etc there and Hoddle would have played Postma there if he could.

Fuck knows - Tony Daley, if only because apparently he scored a wonder goal against PVFC away, I wouldn't know as I was in the queue for the shittest toilet this side of Mumbai.

Not really a wonder goal.

WARNING: Video contains Darren Ferguson doing something useful. Stay calm, you are not hallucinating.

Helder Costa
Michael Kightly
James Henry

That last one was tough. I genuinely debated putting Seol Ki-Hyeon in there but I couldn't bring myself to do it in the end. :icon_lol:

Hibbitt - The early 80's version was still better than anything else I can come up with as a third option and was a right midfielder by then I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Helder Costa
Michael Kightly
Don Goodman

I couldn't think of anyone else who played wide right who was any good. I know Goodman wasn't great but think he was decent during the KGB (Kelly Goodman Bull) era
