The Definitive TWF UK & Ireland XI (1970 - present) - ST VOTING OPEN

Neville
Coleman
Kelly.

Amazing lack of love for Seamus

Coleman - 206 league games for Everton plus 9 for Blackpool with 18 + 1 goal; 43 games for Rep of Ireland with 1 goal
Honours = 1 Play Off final with Blackpool

Phil Neal - 187 league games for Northampton, 21 goals; 455 league games for Liverpool, 41 goals; 64 league games for Bolton, 3 goals; 50 England caps with 5 goals
Honors = 8 League titles, 4 European Cups, 4 League Cups, 2 UEFA Cup, 1 Super Cup and 5 Charity Shields...

I know he finished playing in 1989 but he is/was MILES better than Coleman

I never saw him tbf, but I will ask my grand-papa about him

Neville
Dixon
Finnan (genuinely thought it would just be me voting for him!)

Why on earth were there two England defenders both called Gary Stevens?

After a quick google (I was too young to remember the 1986 World Cup, football for me didn't start until Italia '90) I didn't realise they were both named in the 1986 squad. How confusing! :icon_lol:

Gary Neville
Lee Dixon
Gary Kelly

Shocking lack of love for the likes of Danny Mills, Alan Hutton, Micah Richards :icon_lol:

Gary Neville
Lee Dixon
Seamus Coleman

Was going to put Glen Johnson (as a joke) but I can imagine the pure hate DW would give me for even attempting to put his name on this list.

Gary Neville
Lee Dixon
Gary Kelly

Narrowly beating out Keith Curle and Martin Keown from England's Euro 92 squad.

Landslide time:

Gary Neville - 79
Lee Dixon - 37
Phil Neal - 16
Denis Irwin - 10
Seamus Coleman - 8
Gary Kelly - 7
Rob Jones - 4
Steve Finnan - 4
Keith Newton - 3
Gary Stevens - 2
Kyle Walker - 1
Steve Nicol - 1
Paul Madeley - 1

On to left backs, three picks again. 6pm tomorrow (or whenever I get round to doing the scores)

Ashley Cole
Stuart Pearce
Denis Irwin (he's fortunate I'm not petty enough to leave him out on account of being washed up at Wolves)

Cashley is absolutely leagues ahead of anyone in this category, genuinely world class.

Ashley Cole
Stuart Pearce
Denis Irwin

Pearce
Sansom
Joey Jones

Could have gone for Cole but he is such an arse, so failed the personality test. Joey Jones gets third place as Mr consistent as i refuse to pick Irwin for both left and right back. I thought about Bale but left back was a stretch!
