van Gerwen/Kist, Chisnall/van der Voort and Wade/Brown could all be decent first round games, as could Thornton/Dolan if Dolan wins his qualifier.

Reckon Brown or van den Bergh could provide upsets in Round 1

Possibility of Taylor v Wade in round 3 if they both get through
 
MVG/Kist is the battle of the lookalikes.
 
Good to see that Stan Hullis is playing a decent first round match against Klaasen.

I really REALLY hope that big Mensur has a cracking championship. I love watching him at the moment.
 
Dobey is a bit of a shit draw for Taylor. Hopefully he gets papped out (though I'm still not convinced he's actually retiring. What is he going to do? Sky won't use him as he's a liability. I get the feeling his good friends Robbie Williams and Ronnie O'Sullivan aren't really his friends).
 
I'd love to see what he does if he loses to Dobey.

He's been struggling with his back lately, his throw looks all over the place. Needs to be careful or he'll turn into Wes Newton II.
 
Mensur won pretty comfortably. The first set of Daryl Gurney v Ronnie Huybrechts has been insane - 110 average for both of them
 
I really struggle watching the darts nowadays, purely because of the crowd constantly singing the "take me home" and "yaya toure" chants non stop. Does my head in.
 
I totally agree. The crowd has become an epic pain in the arse. All the "ooooooo" "aaaahhhhh" when players are going for doubles is just cunt soup
 
That Toure chant started at a Premier League night in Manchester in what, 2010? Which I suppose is understandable to a point, big Man City chant at the time, loads of City fans in on the night. Bit of silly fun for one night. Why do idiots sing it now? It makes no sense.
 
The tables chant is another that annoys the hell out of me. Just watch the darts FFS.
 
Absolutely. The PDC made so much about the crowd being involved years ago, but now it is more about them acting the twat than the play. Does my tits in. Great win for Gurney in the end. Ronny pushed him really hard.
 
Should be Gurney vs Cross in the third round. Could be an amazing game.
 
Good stuff from Gurney, don't like him after his nonsense at the Grand Prix but there was some top darts in there.

I can kind of understand the Yaya/Kolo crap when the darts is poor like the first match. However when it's an excellent standard not quite so much.
