Great performance from Taylor tonight. 9 darter.

Maybe we can drop the BDO from the title?

Put in a good solid couple of hours practice last Friday, serious business is this.
 
I had my glory last week. I fully expect to return to normal next.

For the County and Superleague its pretty good and as a way into the game for the younger players it's really useful, but as a TV spectacle it is sadly lacking.
 
Any tips on improving my strikerate on doubles? I'm starting to score fairly heavily now but my finishing lets me down something rotten. Andy Keogh syndrome. Except I have better hair and no pikey tattoos.
 
All about the practice I assume.

I seem to have a problem with doubles where if I don't hit it in the first 3 attempts, I am setting up camp for the night as I try to finally hit it.
 
I know I *could* just use my practice time on doubles but I get bored/frustrated very easily doing that. I've tried playing round the board on my own and I'm pretty handy but put me in a game situation and I blow it eight times out of ten. 12 legs last night, had good chances to win in 10 of them, won two.
 
Easy. You have DaveJonesSyndrome and bottle it at the vital stage, I used to have that but recovered from it last night.


Visualise a picture of Seyi on the double, before you have realised it you will have nailed 3 darts in the double and put your fist through it, but at least you would have won.
 
Kenny is shit at doubles, UNTIL his opponent hits a beautiful set-up shot with two trebles to leave double eight. In that situation, Kenny can hit anything...

Mad skillz innit.

Last night I thought I played shit and yet won 10 out of 12. So you lot must have been fookin dreadul. I had 2 games where the double attempt went on and on and on and on. The Rileys heavy crew must have been loving watching the sad attempts to hit double 1
 
You lost to me, Jocky, so you must have been shit.
 
I did but I will take 10 wins out of 12 every week but I seriously did not enjoy how I played last night. Probably at one decent game where I beat Paddy in my last game. You should have beat me twice, Jase had should have won a couple against me as well.
 
By contrast I played well in all but two legs - one where Jase just mullered me and one against Pad where I lost the plot while ranting at the flangebaskets who kept trying to steal our board. Yet won virtually nowt.

I've got to go to town tomorrow so I may pop in for an hour just to keep the rhythm going.
 
Infact you should have won all 3 against me. First game I couldn't score for shit until you got below 200. 2nd game same as and the third you were on a decent finish and I managed to check out on 61 or something. Your scoring has been decent for weeks, a hell of a lot 80+. Nail the doubles and you are sorted.
