Sam Curran in T20Is in 2024:

2-0-13-0
3-0-25-0
3-0-29-0
2-0-23-2
2-0-25-1
2-0-35-1
3-0-37-1
3-0-31-0

5 wickets @ 43.60 (Econ 10.90)

The one with two wickets was against the might of USA

I mean the last I saw WI were 84/5 at 10 overs. That’s some serious pounding in the second half of the innings.
I blame the selectors and captain for exposing Scurran to this, he’s clearly not good enough and needs never to return to any form of international cricket.
The decline of this white ball side has been pretty rapid.

He had the NERVE to say he was disappointed not to be called up to the Test team when Stokes got injured and missed the SL series :D

He was always complete dross with the ball but had the lucky knack of taking wickets with utter rubbish, either caught at cover or out in the deep in the main. That luck runs out and you're left with someone who would struggle in Second XI cricket, he is shit.

He’s like a cricketing Hwang!

If he was a band or musician I’d compare him to David Gray, Keane, The feeling or Daniel Bedinfield.
Offers very little but has somehow spawned a career at the top level.

To be fair Salt & Jacks have made a very quick start

Absolutely superb knock by Salt

I can't stand him but he really wasn't bad tonight, bowled a maiden which is very much a rarity for anyone in T20. No wickets as per and got some tap near the end (even then, his final figures are ok, economy wise) - for him, it was easily one of his better outings. He should of course be nowhere near the setup at all but not sure why you've singled him out.

An easy win in the end thanks to Buttler looking much more like we know he can be.

Shades of this one with Robbie Keane

One for Warwickshire fans. Liam Norwell retired yesterday, Michael Burgess today, the latter being something of a shock within the club.

Sadly inevitable with Liam.

Not sure what the story is with Burgess, he played all 14 Championship games and averaged nearly 44. Only 30 as well.

No point carrying on if you aren't enjoying it, seems he's a very intelligent lad with a load of academic qualifications behind him so he can probably make more money doing a normal job (given he isn't of much interest to T20 franchises).

I suppose Davies could go back to keeping, but we're already having to replace Rhodes in the top order.

With the loss of Rhodes and Burgess that’s a huge chunk of last years runs gone. OHD can’t go on forever either and Rushworth is on a downhill slope to retirement. Jeff Shi’s not turned up as a behind the scenes advisor has he?
Recruitment has been heading in the wrong direction for some time.

Yeah, the lad they've got from Middlesex who I cba to Google doesn't fill you with a lot of hope given his record. A couple of oversees signings who reach the levels of competent and fit would be hugely useful. Robinson should have gone at the end of last season, but it's Larsen doing the recruitment

The only point of interest in tonight's game is if Curran can actually go through an entire tour taking no wickets despite playing and bowling in every game.

20-1-169-0 so far.

Aus currently 38/5 in Perth in reply to India's 150.
