250 not an insurmountable number for this England team.

Depends on the pitch I suspect. I don't think it is going to mysteriously stop spinning, but it isn't horrendous violent turn. First session tomorrow will be the overall key to the match.

Toss was vital on that wicket. The Pakistan change of line up was a good clue as to the way the game would go 🙂

I said a 200 chase would be very tough. Looks like England might just get there, but the dropped catches mean the chase is a lot larger.

The collapse from 2 down in the first innings was the huge problem. And then in the second Duckett set the tone by playing an absolute fucking nonsense of a shot.

Buttler out of the Windies tour

Livingstone to captain

England going with three spinners for Rawalpindi. I assume a quick look at the pitch has shown it is going to be another raging bunsen.

This is not a drill. I repeat this is not a drill. Ben Stokes has won a toss.

Unsurprisingly, England will have a bat.

If you are opening with spin at both ends on Day 1 of a Test then the pitch probably isn't fit for purpose, or at least they are hoping it isn't

It's fit for Pakistan's purpose. Same as Trent Bridge was fit for England with Jimmy and Broad hooping it round corners. Home side advantage in the pitch will exist unless the ICB employ neutral ground staff for pitch preparation, which will never happen as the BCCI wouldn't like it.

If you are hooping it round corners then that's atmospheric conditions not pitch manipulation

Anyway, things settling down a bit. Although there is loads of turn, it is dead in terms of pace and bounce so not too problematic yet.
