The Cricket Thread

Or just playing normally.

If they lost it would be one of the biggest upsets of all time.

Group A: India are through, USA will be if they beat Ireland or it's washed out, if they lose then Pakistan could sneak through on NRR
Group B: Australia through, if England beat Namibia then Scotland need to beat Australia or pray for rain, NRR is out of the equation now whatever happens
Group C: Afghanistan and West Indies through
Group D: South Africa through, Bangladesh will be too unless they lose to Nepal, Sri Lanka are definitely out

It's interesting that some big hitters are out or in danger.
NZ and Sri Lanka out, Pakistan and England in a bit of bother.

We're really not in bother.

Pakistan are though as based on performances so far, USA will win later.

I stand corrected... they were saying before the innings began that it would only improve it to .3 if we got it done in 3 overs. Obviously they got it wrong... and so did I for relying on the commentators!
The commentator initially said it would improve to 3 and then 'corrected' it to 0.3.

However, looks like USA are in luck...

Heavy rain is forecast for the next three days. The pitches have mostly been under covers and that's unlikely to change. A state of emergency has been declared in five counties, including Broward where the stadium is located. It'll need a miracle even for the curators to simply have a look at the surface underneath.

It *should* be ok, we don't even start losing overs until 7pm UK time.
