We have to get another wicket surely given what's happened in this game so far!

Great test but not result.
End of the day the best team has won, we had the best of the conditions.
Missed Jack Leach big time.

Really enjoyable game and the game winning boundary sums up our efforts, couldn't get out of our own way.

Balls. I will take this every time over batting till the game is dead as Strauss/Cook would though.
If only we had a spinner and a keeper...

Incredible sport. Broad had about 4 whistle passed the edge in the last hour. Fair play, they've got serious resilience

Hard to pin point the reason for defeat, I’d say the missed chance in Australia first Innings and afternoon session yesterday where we batted poorly.

Thought once we got Carey out we'd win but fair play to Cummings.
People will point out the missed chances and wickets chucked away but it's been a brilliant game, no chance England change the style for the next games.

Can pick any number of them, Khawaja no ball cost 25 or so? That's a really obvious one.

It happens across a game though.

Having barely 3.5 bowlers was an issue of course.

Obviously been a few missed catches, particularly by Bairstow, but fair play to Cummins for showing up there. A cracking innings.

I would take that any day over the tripe we served up a year and a half ago.

Went a few months ago and saw my first ever cricket match in person down in Morrisville,NC(Near Raleigh) and though the NC team won, I was completely lost throughout lol as far as the rules and stuff go.

What's the best resource for me to learn the game better? Youtube? A book since I like reading?

Thanks.

We’ve bowled Khawaja on a no ball and missed a chance from him last night. He has been the most important wicket twice. Those are probably the key bits.

I can live with the first innings declaration but didn’t score enough in the second innings.

Moeen as well. Didn’t offer enough with bat or ball

Mo will get a wicket here and there but is far too costly and offers zero control.
Gut instinct is we lose the series 4-1 but that scoreline will flatter Australia as we’ll be in every test. They’ve just got a bit more X factor bowlers than we have and that’s where it’ll count.
