All im bothered about is we get four days out of it. I'm going on Monday and it's costing an arm and a leg with flights, trains, hotel and tickets.

On and off showers on Sunday so I'd say it's likely 5 days.

Yep, all for a more aggressive approach but that’s a shot I’d expect with Jimmy at the other end not Joe.

You got to take the rough with the smooth I guess but Bairstow and to a greater extent Moeen seems like silly wickets. Aggressive yes, but premeditated village charges are too much the other way. You’ve already pinned them back, you could easily milk them for 5-6 an over without any real risk.

I don’t think we will get bowled out for 360, but we’ve gone from a postion where 450+ was looking a formality to being one wicket away from being skittled.

I remember the iteration of faster test cricket when we had the likes of Roy and Buttler - needs to be positive but not reckless or else you end up all out for 180 at times.

It doesn’t have to be either extreme. They’ve got 4-5 men on the boundary FFS. You can get run a ball without trying. Then they don’t know what to do, bring people in and get spanked around or leave them back and have no real wicket taking threat. They didn’t need a threat as we handed it them, they didn’t have to work for it.
