Won't play the next ODI series in Bangladesh either as it clashes with the Test tour to New Zealand.

We do.

Second Test vs NZ doesn't finish until 28th Feb. First ODI in Bangladesh starts on 1 Mar. Doubt it's even physically possible to play both.

You could argue there isn't that much of a crossover; Crawley, Stokes (for now), Pope, Foakes, Broad, Leach, Robinson and Anderson don't play ODIs, and Duckett couldn't complain if he didn't either after this series.

What a result thanks to Archer. His bowling was superb on the whole and was the difference between the two sides, and his first 6 wkt haul.

The batting of Buttler and Malan set it all up, and Archer finished off SA

I wonder if Stokes will come back for the World Cup? This series has shown us to be a genuine all rounder short.

I think he will. There's a big gap after the Ashes where he has nothing to do, he'll never play in the World Cup again, the coach won't mind if he hasn't played 50 over cricket for a while and because of who he is the other players won't care if he jumps straight back and retires again straight after.

Looks like they've made a definitive call on Parkinson, they don't fancy him at all. Bit of a strange one as I'm not sure what exactly about his game doesn't fit in.

I don’t think I have seen him turn his arm over. It would be bit part spin at best I imagine.

Just always helps if you can a bit, especially with the World Cup being in India. It's why I suspect Jacks will replace Roy if the latter's form is still sketchy or worse (although he's not involved here for the ODIs because he's in the Test squad several thousands of miles south at the same time).
