BBFC did a survey that concludes die hard isn't a christmas movie.

A woman I cycle with appears briefly in Love Actually. She’s a stunt woman who doubled for Colin Firth’s housekeeper in the scene where she jumped into freezing the lake in her bra and knickers. And in other random ramblings earlier this year Martine McCutcheon moved in right next door to my daughter.
Anyway films, I guess Die Hard is set at Christmas time but any film wheeled out every year seems to become synonymous with Christmas in the end. Wouldn’t be the same without watching The Great Escape while eating some leftovers.
) We both really like A Christmas Story though - only saw that couple of years back

Love Actually is a good film, you just have to accept that nearly every character is horrible.

Funnily enough back in Birmingham tomorrow and occasionally go to theirs, but being the weekend because of the crowds will stay well away.
Recall about 10 years ago getting snowed in and unable to get home with the trains not running, so carefully walked to the market where it was all snow covered and beautifully festive, relatively quiet too. Got a bit pissed on overpriced lager and mulled wine and ripped off for a Bratwurst but even so was lovely. Very different to the normal Friday night bedlam.
I get it’s fashionable to knock Christmas Markets but as they go Birmingham’s is decent tbf.

Yeah, with the added sprinkling of stardust by randomly getting hit on the side of the head by a snowball which I’m assuming was thrown because I had my Wolves beanie on.

Didn’t see Birmingham’s market but would imagine it’s still a good one if that’s your thing. I do love industrial architecture and gothic revival was certainly showing Wickes flat-pack the way to go.

What’s everyone having for Christmas lunch?
We are keeping it simple this year with a corn fed chicken from the local butcher with roasties, sprouts, peas, carrots, mash and leeks in cheese sauce, with a home made bread sauce.
Bubble and squeak for Boxing Day.
