The CHRISTMAS Thread

Christmas will probably be cod fish again.

Something like this, perhaps.
Looks good to me. Not for my Christmas dinner but I’d demolish it on any other day.

Beats the living shit out of bloody Turkey.

I will be going for beef. Just a question of whether I can be arsed to make a Wellington for one

I did a Turkey wellington a couple of years ago. Nice enough but too much faffing about.

Yeah, Wellington is fine if you're paying someone else to make it (and you can trust them to do it properly). Not worth the effort otherwise.

That is so bizarre to me, we would never have meat on Christmas dinner.

We normally have lamb on Christmas day though, but I don't like lamb that much

As long as you don’t make your own puff pastry when shop bought is fine, and remember to make a pancake to rest between the meat and the pastry so it doesn’t get a soggy arse then Wellington isn’t that difficult. It’s just a lot of faff

Christmas Dinner here is nothing more than a slightly tarted up Sunday roast with the addition of things you never eat on the other 364 days of the year, as they are shit. I'm looking at you, cranberry sauce.

Pigs in blankets though…
