The CHRISTMAS Thread

Yorkshire puddings are served on their own with gravy as a 'starter'. No self respecting Yorkshire person would have Yorkshire puddings on the same plate as the dinner. My FiL had Yorkshire puddings on Xmas day.
My grandparents are from Ilkley and Addingham and always have them on. Pair of fakers

What ever floats your boat - have em for breakfast stuffed with weetabix, peanut butter and chocolate sauce if you want*

*just not with mint sauce. That would be a step too far.

Almost looks as bad as grits.
That was a surprise when I ordered them for breakfast in Florida, having no knowledge of them and expecting crispy bits of bacon from the grill...

A truly inconceivable opinion.

Me!

A little butter and salt, or cheese if you're highfalutin. Peak comfort food breakfast.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually tasted grits. They do look gross though.

Biscuits and gravy are nice, I’ll give you that. Although they should just call them scones.

Biscuits : Savory :: Scones : Sweet

At least in my head.

As for grits, it's basically a thick, corn porridge. It isn't much to look at, I grant you.

The naming convention puts me off, ambiguous pluralisation leads to very oddly worded sentences.

It’s alright. Doesn’t really taste of much, better if you add stuff to it.
