With car tax for EVs going up in April and my car tax renewal being in April, thought I’d try and tax my car early and see if I could get away with it for another year…

Seems to have allowed me to do it at £0. Whether they’ll end up chasing me at some point I don’t know, but hopefully I’ve beat the system!

Everyone's been doing it, you're fine. I taxed mine in March last year instead of June so I'd get a reminder through the post and wouldn't forget.

Also told my mate with an EV to do the same.

Yeah but thought because it doesn’t actually expire until April, and i didn’t plan further enough ahead to do it last March like you did. However didn’t realise you could tax it that early.

Technically you lose the months you have left by taxing it early, but since EVs are currently £0 then you're not losing anything.
 
Bentley is sending its apprentices to Wolverhampton college to learn how to build EV cars and the general theory and repairs of EV cars, 3 year course and must be good for the college reputation to partner exclusively with Bentley for training.
