Just as an idea towards the rotating banner, how about it changes every time the page refreshes or when you open a new link.

I'd be wary of sticking up new signings before we know if they're going to be any good for us. I wouldn't have much fancied having George Saville's mug looming down over the forum for the last 12 months.
