The 2014/15 Promotion Push Run-In Thread

I couldn't pick any side because at this stage of the season it becomes more about bottle and confidence rather than football ability. Wolves have an edge over many of the others having gone through a promotion push last season where we handled the pressure well.

Aitor Karanka looked like a little boy lost for example yesterday during his post match interview, a Spanish Terry Connor.

It will be 3 from the top 8 now (with the possible addition of Notts F if they can win the next 3 & close the gap) - can't call which at this stage though apart from the fact that we will still be seen as outsiders - not unhappy with that, we can sneak up on the inside & nick the promotion on the last game!

I'm happy with just a play off place this year as I subscribe to the view that this is a young team that KJ can build and make successful. Its not like all those years where we had the odd few old guys like INCE and IRWIN who were major cogs for us and if we didn't do it then we were likely to fall away the next season.

But if it opens up for an automatic place why not take it, go up, come down and build again with the parachute money

Play off place & a trip to Wembley will do for me - a good day out if nothing else. More than I would have expected at the start of the season

My dodgy predictions:

Derby 95
Norwich 88
Watford 83
Boro 81
Bournemouth 79
Ipswich 78
Brentford 77
Wolves 77
Forest 72

Interesting. Especially as we are so close to Brentford on goal difference don't forget.

The top six are well within our sights. Though tomorrow evening could certainly have a bearing on how things will work out.

We need to keep our feet on the ground here for sure. The only decent team we have played in 2015 has been Narch, and we lost pretty convincingly.

True. We have a relatively young first team with six first teamers under 25 and, as someone pointed out to me, we are suspect to such performances (Nwich). My feet will be aloft tomorrow night if we avoid losing.

We will know a lot more about where we are going to finish after the next 2 games.

My best guess is we get 1 point from a possible 6.

I think we will win one of them.

Ever the optimist.

I just saw we are as long as 4-1 to win tomorrow night and thought "I'll have a bit of that".

2 points from the next 6 would actually be excellent if only because it would mean that those two have not gained on us

remarkable difference then between 1 point from 6 or 2 points from 6 could have !

I'd take two points if we backed it up by beating Brighton and Sheff Wed.

"I'd take a loss this week we follow it up by getting promoted" :icon_wink:

Take 2 losses if I win the Euro and we get promoted and I start feeling better from this fucking cold and sore throat

Lose the next two and we can forget it! Win them and, of course, we're in with a good chance of making the play-offs (confidence, reputation, fear from the others and momentum). I think it will be tough and four points will be a brilliant achievement. I'll take two points, happily and hope for a continuation in our good luck, Sako's form and an increase in our self-belief. Derby and Norwich for automatic promotion.
