The 12 Days of Christmas Tat: A Festive Blog Series

I think Batty was playing at RB! Neil Webb is there too so he makes up the four in midfield.

When people say "they've never seen a worse England team" these days then they're either too young to remember the Taylor days or wilfully ignorant.

I don't think we actually had a right back in the squad did we? I'm pretty sure he also tried playing Keown and Curle there (not at the same time) in the other games.

Curle played against Denmark I think, he was all over the place.

I'm surprised by Daley's inclusion as it was an injury thing, but, yeah, it's also a Graham Taylor thing.

Three of the final four have to be Roger Johnson and Blobby Taylor. Who, let's face it, was both big enough and rubbish enough to count twice. I know you've said "no", but surely Paul Blades needs to be in there...

I wouldn't complain if Robert Taylor was #10, #11 & #12 in the countdown tbh. RoJo can be #9.

I'd quite like to see Steve Sedgley in there. Had an unbelievable knack of scoring a one yard tap-in just as his total uselessness had become unbearable. The whole ground sighing "Sedgley" after yet another fuck up. Also, we swapped him for Mark Venus, who went on to have a creditable end of career with Ipswich.

It's a great shout but the other four are nailed on now. Paying actual money for him as well as giving them Veno was a scandal.

When I was on MM back in the day they didn't like me comparing Seyi to Sedgley :icon_lol:

I think Tony Daley is very symbolic of that era at Wolves. So much potential and ambition and in glimpses looked amazing but ultimately flattered to deceive and failed to achieve what we should have.

I have no issue with Daley at all just the fact that Taylor decided to sign him when we knew he was going to break. I'm glad he's back as our fitness coach - as many equally hilarious people have pointed out he should know more than anyone else!!

Taylors vision was fine, Froggatt and Daley on the wings to feed Bully with Geoff Thomas in the middle. Those four on their own should have been enough to get us promoted. However, with regards to the execution of his vision - do I not like that.

Jason Roberts.....

Dan these are excellent. Please do one on Roger Johnson. Or even a Kevin Thelwell special (not a player, but he represents some shocking signings).

Cannot believe that RJ will get away with not appearing

KT won't as this is about those who have played for us - whether he should have a resume of his own is another issue.

I can confirm Rog is in there.

Thelwell...I probably should wait until he's gone. Which I suspect won't be that long.

I more or less gave that one away in the JOH article ;)

With only three others to go, it's not that hard to guess them now. But it's details, you want to read the details.

You better start thinking of things to do next year, a lot of people are enjoying these and the anticipation is fun :)

I really do enjoy your way of making tat sound like total shite Dan... hopefully this will be an annual blog when it comes to the tat that's been in the old gold.

Dan, you could easily write a book called The Tatters. A Compendium of Wolves Tat and it would more likely than not be a bestseller

Not even joking. There's loads of self published books about Wolves, look at the amount of them in the Clubshop..... mostly shite! I think your book would be a breath of fresh air!

Brilliant read again Dan...Top work

A spin-off that details the Rohan Ricketts / Seyi Olofinjana phenomenon's would be especially welcome.
