The 12 Days of Christmas Tat: A Festive Blog Series

Leon Clarke?

I'll never forget his face of confusion at Sheff Utd when it took Price three attempts to explain to him to close their keeper down before a Sheff U throw in near their own touchline.

Also he followed it up with one of Lycans fav misses ever minutes later (spoiler: it was a sitter and Lycan was apoplectic with rage).

I've really enjoyed reading the series so far.

For players who might be left I'll say Silas, Seol and Mouyokolo.
Two bearly played and the other we made money on. You'd struggle to write a blog on the Wolves career of the likes of Mouyokolo or Boukari. Came, got injured, threatened a comeback, got injured, threatened a comeback, got injured, left.

I would say Zubar was the closet miss. Then Eastwood.

And if those two missed out then you know what's left is bad.

Surely Olofinjana will be in there? And maybe Mo camara?

Seyi got saved by Pulis giving us a massive profit on him. The lucky, lucky bastard. But he'll probably get a blog of his own at some point in 2017 in a different series. As will my mate Dean.

One of the best things about this blog is reading the comments you make every time you have to mention Dean Saunders :icon_lol:

I had genuinely forgotten about his tactic of playing O'Hara on the wing for the first 15 mins of games and then moving him back inside to bamboozle the opposition (to be fair, I have wiped my memory of a lot of things that happened during Saunders time in charge). Truly bizarre management from a simpleton who was miles out of his depth.

Aye. That was a good day out that one! If Leon hasn't made the cut then it is horrific. The Hoff just has to be in here.

Think it was at Barnsley where he did the tactic of switching players around to "confuse" the opposition. The 1st 15 mins we hammered them, scored and O'Hara had a chance that hit the bar and bounced on to the line - All looking good and then 15 minutes appeared on the clock and musical positions began and we played like fucking chumps for the rest of the game and lost. Glorious.

Purely from the 'I'm so much better than this' attitude ?

But we did double our money on him so I suppose that negates his inclusion

The fact that we could do a hundred page thread with possibilities speaks volumes. I wonder if other clubs have had quite so much shite pass through their doors?

Mo Camara?

Each piece has been a fantastic and even if you were to pick one of my favourite players I still wouldn't complain such has been my enjoyment of them all.

I'll be surprised if there is no Leon. I don't think the Hoff necessarily had a terribly negative impact. He was just a bit crap but not in an offensive way. Hence why I expect Leon and Mo Camara, who was a part in us choking in 2002. RoJo surely as well.

Sure they have.

Just need to look down the road at Birmingham with Barry Fry. He loaded that club with a fuck load of shite

I think Newcastle and Villa fans will have as long lists.

You should have a chat with my Dad. He'd be able to have a very long rant about the complete and utter dross that Sunderland have wasted vast amounts of money on. They've bought a lot of expensive shit.

As have Liverpool, Man Utd etc...

Hadn't mentioned yet - these are all fantastic reads, thanks!

I don't know what you do for a living, but definitely worth considering firing pitches to various outlets for articles if you haven't already (and if it is something you are interested in doing, of course!)

I'm a freelance translator and proofreader but I'd much rather do this for a living (either that or SLA moves his company 150 miles north and employs me).

I dunno, I like the independence I have at the moment. We talked on my feedback thread about monetising the blog at some point which is an option. But we'll see.

Johnson is a shoe-in. Corica would be one for me. Tony Daley is another waste of money, signed for over £1m and played about 10 games during his time here
