The 1-2 Crying Game Verdict thread

Can only hope they contrive to draw like when 3 up at Derby recently.

Your wish is their command

I am glad that wolves are lucky that there are 3 or 4 teams worse than us this season so we may just stay up. Didn't think that in August. Still Rotherham to beat us for their first away win? I actually don't want to see homjye games now! You just know what is going to happen

Despite BCFC drawing 2-2 today we really are in deep shit now. If we carry on playing like we are we're going to end up with less than 50 points and that could very easily see us relegated. Find it hard to believe I'm typing that after the Fosun takeover but there you are. Suspect that if we don't win any of the next 3 games Lambert will be sacked, and rightly so. But Thelwell has to follow him out of the door.

Current form suggests not. And that table doesnt take into account the Villa win today.

Who would be the one to advise Jeff Shi if Kevin Thelwell deserved the bullet as well as the head coach. Is there any football knowledge available to the full Fosun board.

aye, not just a managerial issue anymore..Thelwell has been with us on borrowed time for some time now..doesnt contribute anything so please get rid now!

Weren't Edwards stats in the last game laughable as well. Or was that someone else.

That was Edwards as well, in the last 2 league games at home he's completed 24 passes, 11 in the Wigan game (2 were kick offs) and 13 (not sure if he did take any kick offs) in the game last night. If that's acceptable for a player that plays central midfield or in the number 10 position then it's time to give up and watch something else.

Just watched about 5 minutes of the Brighton - Reading game; bloody Reading full backs made that many passes in the time i was watching

Just home now, the ferry crossing was really rough and coupled with my hangover, I feel like shit.

Once again myself and Dad enjoyed the company more than the game, was great to see DW, Parkin, Darlo, Paddy , Sam and Langers, as well as meeting Lycan.

Lycan, I honestly don't know how or more importantly, why, you travel all that way every week to watch that shite, but fair play to you!

For anyone on here who thinks we are not in a Relegation battle now, time for a reality check. Last night was the most gutless, clueless, unimaginative display ever, and Lambert has to take all the blame.
We are a fairly small sized team it's very limited ball control and yet we insist and punting the ball into the channels hoping we can get more punts into the box and hopefully something will happen. It's percentage football where the odds aren't in our favour. It reminds me of MM's last few games before the bullet.

Saville might has well have not been on the pitch, himself and Edwards were shocking in the first half. Actually the whole team was. Even from our seats in the NB we could see how bad Ikemes fuck up was. Jack Price ran the midfield but again, spraying passes out wide was so easy for Blues to figure out and they doubled up down both sides and yet we carried on doing it. We seem so scared of the ball, Price tried running with it into the middle areas and nobody seemed to want it.
Danny Batth is the most ineffective captain since that bloke who sank the cruise ship in the Med.
Jack Price was trying to Marshall the lads during set pieces, Danny just shouts and waves his hand but isn't actually instructing anything. Price should be captain.

As people have already said, we are a fucking shambles of a club at the mo. Why the fuck did we hand out new 4 year contracts to Doherty and Ikeme? They should be playing to save their careers instead, they play like pampered wankers who look like they wanted to be anywhere but on the pitch. It was great to see Dicko score, but we really should have made subs at this point, as the crowd was loud and the atmosphere was rocking.

Has Kenny Jackett returned? Cos it certainly seemed that way last night. One fucking sub. Shite team selection with the complete wrong instructions. Lambert was waving his arms about etc etc but Coady and Weimann just shrugged their shoulders when he tried to instruct them. As I said when he was hired, I am underwhelmed and I'm yet to be convinced he is any good.

There seems to be something rotten inside the playing team, and I would guess it's the likes of Batth, Doherty, Ikeme and the other wankers who have secure contracts and don't give a shit whether we go down. They are not, and never will be good enough to take us up.

Let's not forget, most of those wankers got us relegated last time, and they didn't show any desire to fight to keep us up the , and they sure won't this time either, so relegation is a very real threat. They are habitual bottlers, last time should have been a perfect opportunity to start "bringing the FA cup performances to the league", as they keep banging on about. Fri night game, on TV, big crowd etc. any motivated player would jump at that chance.

there was a moment in 2nd half when Gloves charged up field (i'm sure he thinks he's become Gareth Bale), we lost the bal an they played a quick ball up their right side. I watched Gloves shug his shoulders, turn and amble back at a time when he should have been sprinting back to recover his position.

This is so correct.
I always read the anger over Doherty from Deutsch with a little smile and think "ahh he isnt that bad really"
Well last night i became a convert. He was utter fucking garbage and his body language was pathetic, the sooner he fucks off with his shitty attitude the better.

Thank goodness, thats a relief. We might be able to play on the counter attack.
I can see your point, the alternative view is that better teams will go at our weak defence and we'll concede

As I said last night only Ikeme and Edwards were regulars last time, so it's not about a habitual losing mentality, I can't argue with the rest though

I know everyone's have a go at the regular targets which is acceptable as they were shocking but will someone have the balls to say how shocking Costa was early part of the game 2/3 free kicks and a corner that floated straight out and then obscurity ?
The thing that made me the most angry (apart from the aimlesly hoofing it up field every time to a lone striker on his own ) was Dicko asking for passes between the defenders so he could turn them, only for the pass to go sideways or backwards ( yes Coady I'm talking about you !!)

Just like the rest of the team he's been poor in the last month. This does also coincide with him signing permanently, which I hope is just that, coincidence. I think the difference is he's built credit up in the bank, so avoids a lot of the criticism, others haven't.

Have kept off here since I got back yesterday as really couldn't be bothered to even think about that inept, gutless, pathetic attempt devoid of any football whatsoever. You can blame the players for their inability, but I am starting to get worried about Lambert's ability to get enough out of what he has got in the squad.

Little change in tactics & only one sub on when the game was crying out for a different approach especially as B'ham 2 goals to the good & a man down were clearly just going to try & see the game out.

Still good to meet up with DDW & WH again (+ other regulars)

DDW if you had a hangover on Sat then shows that I was right to bale out when I did - think I had just had enough of the day (PS - I felt fine the next day :icon_biggrin:)

The main reason Costa has gone of the boil is we've been playing hoofball against the shit sides, don't think we did as much of this when Lambert first arrived, god knows why we doing it now
