Summer 2022 Transfer Window

You're never going to get all your business done before pre-season, but there is an issue if the players are reporting back in a week and you have not only done nothing RE incomings, but not even managed to sort the contracts out of players we (for now) own. Moutinho's deal should have been done ages ago and a conclusion is needed on the MGW situation.

Agreed, it's plain negligence regarding Moutinho.

And on top of that, most top targets would have been away on international duty, so they'll now have another week or two on holiday on top of anyone else - which is more time lost.

We've heard the same excuses a thousand times and we'll hear them a thousand more. As you say, all these factors apply to all clubs and it hasn't prevented them from already getting deals done. We have a bunch of jokers in charge, relying on Jorge to sort us out a few favours.

Who would have thought we would have taken a step back after losing Kevvy T, some going.

Nothing changes though until Fosun decide that Jeff isn't the right man. I prefer the old chatty, OTT Jeff but since seeing Laurie and Kev leave the club he has turned into a power hungry, keep it schtum oddball.

As long as Fosun see us in the Prem, making money, expanding the "B word" they will be happy. So its either we fuck up big style or Jeff realises he has surrounded himself with fucking idiots and takes action. (obvs we could all be the fucking idiots and in 12 months time we still have a solid Prem Team and we are chatting bubbles and know nothing)

No idea where this has come from but Stoke after Boly according to some of their fans

Don't do it Willy...you'd be better off retiring

I saw some nonsense on Twitter about a Bentley near their training ground with a plate saying W14 BLY (or something like that), so it must have been Boly. Although someone then found out that it was in fact a Bentley registered in 2002 and therefore somewhat unlikely to be a multi millionaire footballers car.

Ah good, just a load of old bollocks then.

He does drive a Bentley (or did) as he had pics taken of it being delivered, obviously won't be a 2002 model though

Could be one of those annoying people who call say, Mr Brightside a "retro" track and he's gone down that road. With I dunno, Blazin' Squad on his CD player (no Bluetooth).

Boly's best days are sadly behind him but I would definitely keep him for a year as cover/rotation if nothing else, especially if we're playing a four.

I don't trust our recruitment enough to let anybody who was around the first team squad go without replacing them first. Bring 2 centre halves in before the end of August or 1 and Mosquera has a good pre season and I'd wish him well

Mosquera looks miles off as it stands and there are huge question marks over Coady/Kilman in a four.

The hard on for Mosquera is weird, what has he shown for such confidence in him?

I haven't watched much U23 stuff, has he been stand out in that? Because all we have is the 13 mins against Spurs to go on otherwise?

He looked pretty poor for the 23s.

Was decent in pre-season before his hamstring pinged. He would have started the season rather than Kilman otherwise. (Which is why Lage deserves fuck all credit there, he picked him because we had no-one else, like when Dave Jones stumbled across pairing Miller and Ndah)

People like him because he gets stuck in basically.

He's got all the physicality and enthusiasm but if we threw him in to the starting line up he'd be way out of his depth.

I feel like this about Toti too.

Fans love to see a tackle (oo-er) as do i, but it clouds things a little.

Yerson looked good in his couple of pre-season appearances before the injury tbf, just looked like he had all the right attributes. The injury he got against Spurs has really lost him a season. Good opportunity for him in this pre-season anyway.

I like Toti. I'd be happy with him as back up to Kilman,

Toti is much more prepared but he also needs minutes. Got all the attributes but does get caught out mentally, which is understandable.

I've seen nothing of Mosquera to make me think he's anywhere near ready.

I agree there is too much expectation, which is why I'd want to see a good pre season before I let Boly go. If that were the case though I'd be OK with Kilman + new with Gomes, Coady and Mosquera to back them up. I'd rather sign 2 and sell Coady though, but I know that's a minority view
