Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Genuinely felt sorry for Bruno when the news cam through yesterday - awful luck when you’re under pressure, whatever I might think about his suitability for the job. On the flip side, the Costa episode is a huge result for him. Aside from the distracting noise it all contributes to the more or less conscious idea that an effective goalscorer is the missing piece of the jigsaw, as opposed to our actual inability to create chances and impose ourselves on the game. With regards to Costa I also watched a lot of his games for Atleti and in fairness he was able to put himself about a bit, but evidently a long way from the player he once was, or he’d still be there, and he’s unlikely to be able to a great deal (though he’s doing a great deal of helpful distraction and he’s not even in the country yet).

I mean all the above with regards to the general fan base as opposed to most posters on here BTW.

Well it’s hard to know what to think, I doubt he’ll be anywhere near the player he was.

But he really was about mentality and we could do with some of that around our group of who in the main seem stuck in a rut of negativity ( manager don’t help imo but he ain’t going nowhere ).

When you think he’ll he will be coming on at 60 instead of Hwang, I really can’t see a down side.

All in all as long as his fitness is somewhere near I’d give him a whirl.

I don’t even begin to understand the reservation.

He is on a trial - meaning that if he is absolutely finished, it doesn’t cost us a penny and we don’t sign him.

If he’s even half fit, he’s going to be better than what we have - Guedes is weak as piss and Hwang isn’t an option in a side competing above League Two. His reputation and physicality alone will scare defenders.

You never know. It might just be brilliant.

Just over a months time he is coming off the bench to score a winner in an away game down at Stamford Bridge. Its happening, its written in the stars. Chelsea fans will now be writing that game off before it happens.

He's not on trial - he's having a medical, pass that and we are signing him
Would presume the fitness part of the test will extensive. This won't be one done in a couple of hours

He might be total garbage but at least it’ll create a bit of interest instead of the mind numbing dullness we’re subjected to presently

Nah, 5 mins jumping up and down on those little metal plates, and he'll have the contract shoved under his nose.

Jeff will be happy, it’s going to build the brand worldwide, if we sign him we’ll be on the sports pages everywhere

It’s a good PR exercise as it’s got me excited even if he is garbage (I don’t think he will be).

Get some excitement back again after being really down on the team at the minute.

You'd wonder did we push Sasa into starting too early . Then we had Raul coming back from injury in pre season and he foes straight into the team at Preston and again Bournmouth - is that just part of the risk with any footballer returning from injury that you have to accept ?

Bear in mind - it will be the same with Costa . He hasn't played for a while - easy pick up an injury at his age when you have been assent for so long .

It's one hell of a roller coaster ride these past few weeks with transfers and injuries and now possibly Costa arriving .

He's done a full pre-season and played games so in fitness terms, no.

In terms of starting after 3 days in the Country, that is just a personal view and would have no impact on a freak injury really.

Guo attends a match in pre season , having not been at a match for a few years , and suddenly transfers start flowing .

He attends another match last Saturday - two injuries to two strikers ( the only strikers we have ) and suddenly Costa is on a plane to Wolverhampton .

Coincidence ? or Guo is suddenly very interested in Wolves .

Kalajdzic played in Stuttgart's first three games this season, the last of them on 20th August. He was fit and ready to play, just bad luck.
Both Nunes and Guedes found that the fitness levels required over here were a lot higher than where they came from - both were struggling and blowing hard at the 60 minute mark of matches initially .

I'd say Sasa was not much different . There is also the physicality aspect that he would have to get used to .

Anyway - it's all a matter now .

I would suggest visiting for business reasons. Either Wolves related or just in the UK (the first game he was is in the UK has he was meeting Chinese Government officials in the UK)

Possible we were already in talks in some degree with Costa before Saturday with how quickly a contract has been agreed and medical/fitness tests arranged
