Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Him and Adama are players that the opposition will have to have a plan for. That in itself is a good thing. I just think it will be a no brainer to bring him in. It'll be a real cheap option and it'll take the pressure off Raul.

Not sure 'let him run himself to the corner flag' is a plan.

Just out of interest, does anyone know how he gets a work permit based on not playing for 10 months and then when he did before it was in the Brazilian League?

Miniero won the league, semi finals of libertadores and won domestic cup. Swimming in points

Footballers that still harbour ambitions to play keep themselves in tip top condition.

Seen so many footballers with no clubs saying they are still good and are training with a local/known club.

He is probable fit it's very much if he has been training football wise, if not he is going take a few weeks.

Probable find he will be playing the last 30 mins for a few games until he gets match fit.

He is going to be towing a caravan. Anyone expecting anything even vaguely resembling prime Diego Costa is utterly deluded. Might be slightly better than nothing. Might be.

Now you've said that I'm confident he's going to be legendary 😉

He only played in one libertadores game though.
Only had to make one matchday squad to get the points. Most the way there on that alone (9), but more points for % of minutes but joined halfway through competition so I’ll leave that. So chunk of points before even factoring in playing decent amount of minutes for league winners (4 for the win, cba to work out minutes, let’s say half - 4). So that’s him in with those. Think the cup win holds some weight too

I think it'll go to the extremes. The ground reverberates to the Diego chant, he scores 10 goals and pundits say it's amazing to see the player from Chelsea still being there. Or he's a complete waste of space, obvious why he hasn't had a club for nearly a year and won't be back in Jan.

The latter being much more likely

Or it’s so obvious at even a trial to prove fitness that we don’t proceed.

At his peak I was a big fan but he is coming 34, been without a club since January and last had a decent goal scoring season 6 years ago.

I hope he proves me wrong, obviously, but I can't see this panning out well.

He’s going to be better than Willian Jose and Fabio were that year and that team finished 13th with a worse squad

We're in a bit of a beggars cant be choosers situation now though. He might not be that good now, but what other options are there?

That makes sense, cheers.
