Summer 2022 Transfer Window

I will add, I enjoyed watching him the weekend. Completely different player to the young kid I saw last time, he's tough and aggressive now and he worked his absolute bollocks off. Being honest, I'd rather have kept him than signed Guedes but you can't turn down that money for a bloke who's out of contract in 18 months and isn't signing a deal.

It is a shame - been a long time since we had an academy grad who was capable of playing at a very high level - maybe Cundle will be it.

But, can't turn down that money, even if it doesn't result in a striker. Will follow his career with interest.

If the last bit is true then he's a bit thick.

having read some of the abuse he got even this week.on Twitter after the Fulham game I totally get it.

I cannot remember many Home Grown Players getting a huge amount of patience.

Danny Batth and Jack Price were, on the whole, well liked. Same as Karl Henry who wasn't "home grown" but is from Wolverhampton. The only time they ever got stick was when they played badly.

A couple of seasons ago I hoped I’d see a fellow Staffordian doing well for us in the PL. I think it all went downhill when he broke the Covid lockdown and this day has been coming ever since. Big thanks to Sheffield United for more than doubling his value in a season.

It's the same abuse a lot of our players get. I'm not saying he's right, but he's certainly not a special case and nor are home grown players. Silva has received plenty of stick too.

Lescott, Murray, Robinson, Ikeme, they were all popular. I always stuck up for New Invention's own Lee Naylor...

Danny Batth got loads of unwarranted stick as did MGW himself tbh. I'm completely on board with the abuse Leon Clarke got though, the fat slob.
when Clarke 1st came into the team the abuse was unwarranted.

the second time warranted

If anything I've seen MGW's other half get more stick from our fans on social media than MGW himself. Certain sections of the Wolves fan base are morons, but then he's going to Forest for an insane amount of money in a position that is gloated there (Lingard, Robinson) so if he doesn't hit the ground running their fans will soon start on him too.

you have a different view to the abuse Carl the Crab Robinson got.

i stick.up for all.our players whilst they pull that shirt on they get my 100% support

He also would have only performed well for us in behind the striker(s) which is where he played for Sheffield United. He isn't a winger and that's predominantly where he was being played.

there was a video showing MGW chasing the ball all over the place, and winning it inside our own box to stop a Goal Scoring chance and statt an attack, he then sprinted forward to join in.

the comments bordered on disgraceful from some of our so called Fans

I don't doubt he gets the abuse, but so does Silva, Dendoncker, Coady (before he left), Jimenez was beginning to get murmurings of it.

Abuse is never right, but it's not a special only-homegrown-players thing at Wolves. And now he's going to a Premier League club for a circa £40m price tag, probably their record signing, and that will come with a huge amount of expectation.

By the way how does sentence two tally with you calling Boly a cunt and saying you hoped he never played for us again because he had the nerve to talk to Albion players/staff after we lost to them last season?

Didn’t leon get abuse after he scored for us and shushed the south bank? Downhill after that I thought ( probably wrong though)
