Summer 2022 Transfer Window

He's a good finisher but don't think he offers much else. Not the kind of striker we'd be after.

I’ve said before I think neves would go for £25 million, Jeff would see that as good business with a £10 million profit, I know collectively we’d lose our minds, be firing up the flaming torches, getting the pitchforks out the shed and organising where to meet outside the Molineux.

If we sold Neves and MGW for the same price then someone's getting a hell of a deal....

Tbf if we get offered 30m like he claims we want and he won’t sign a new deal, we will definitely take it

I’m really on the fence.

Part of me wants us to keep him, use him properly & he could potentially thrive massively.

But then £30m is a lot of money for someone who’s relatively unproven at PL level & potentially doesn’t want to be here.

I think the biggest issue I have is I don’t trust the recruitment team to invest that money back in to the side properly.

Maddison went for £20m after a similar season. Irrespective of our financial situation, we'd be mad to knock £30m back and given Everton's they'd be mad to offer it.

Firstly, I don’t think anyone is going to be remotely close to paying £30m for MGW.

If they are, they obviously know something I seriously don’t, and we’d be absolutely insane not to take it.

If it’s not re-invested in the team though, we’d have to all want him to stay regardless of whether we thought he was worth the money?

We won’t have much left if we keep letting our players leave and not replacing them.

Obviously.

How can we plead poverty when Everton who literally overspent by hundreds of millions and were supposedly on the verge of a points deduction can come in and spend 30m on Gibbs-White

Whatever we think of Fosun, I don't necessarily think Everton are the right stick to beat them with.

I'd rather have our last few windows than sign the likes of Van de Beek, Iwobi, Alli, etc.

van de Beek was ruined by United, he was pretty good before he went there. Worth a punt to see if he could turn it round.

oh I agree but it just makes all of our statements look even more ridiculous than they already did

He looks awful. Slow, weak and just disappears constantly to the point you forget he's playing. I can't think of anything good about his game.

Also always looks like he's just been sick.

There’s a vid that went around of United players ignoring VdB when he was an open passing option. I generally find that that says more about the player being ignored than the ones ignoring him.

MGW, is.a.proper player, piss me right off if we lose him

Don’t disagree, doesn’t change the fact he was fuck all like that for Ajax though.
