Summer 2021 transfer window

Hwang's a potentially canny signing, for me- obviously at a bit of a low ebb, but there's a hell of a player there if we can find him.

If it's a loan with an option, I'd absolutely take a punt.

Not if they don’t sign anyone else. If they sign 3 first team ready players and get this young un in for development then no problem. But development players I don’t see as the priority. I am still reeling at 35 m for Fabio
Are you going to mention Silva every time we sign a youngster?

If buying Coventry stops us buying Botman I'd agree with you, but I don't think it would.

Buying players to either develop into 1st teamers or sell at a profit seems like an excellent use of cash to me.
Pretty sure there was a report from Fosun, around the time they took us over, that said this was basically the only way to make money in football?

Obvs Vinny didn't read it and thinks increasing ST's will bring in huge revenue.

Watched Valencia last night and Guedes, who I agree has been underwhelming for years, had, in fairness, his second excellent match in the season already. Not that he looks likely to come or that I’d want him, just thought I’d post it somewhere.

I agree with your last sentence.

On your first sentence it was Jeff who said we had no money so you've got to take him at his word. It is a club decision to operate like this, one I don't agree with or the bollocks FFP excuse.

So, reading the mood music, would we be happy with Hwang Hee-Chan, Lee Kang-In and one of Botman or Caleta-Car coming in?

I think if we were to get those three without any significant outgoings, I'd be pretty satisfied.

Pleading poverty and buying youth team players that may turn a profit looks like a terrible use of cash.

Disagree with TT our U23 recruitment and sales have been abysmal.
Depends what you are looking for. I'm not convinced players like Campana, Nazon, the lad from Colchester whose name I can't remember were ever signed with the first team in mind. It's just about buying in at what they see as a value price to hopefully turn a profit. At a stretch you could add Mir to that list.

I'd say we're still a midfielder short, and that's a vital position for me. I'd lose one of the forwards for a decent CM.

Agree that no significant outgoings would be a big deal too

I don’t think a huge amount has changed since the start of the window (or previous windows going back to 2019 probably). We need a CB, a CM and a forward who can play wide or cover Raul.

CM is the most important position for me, then CB, then another attacker. Sorting the first two still wouldn't make for a good window by any means, but it feels like the bare minimum just to stand still.

I was thinking last night its been very quiet in terms of CM links. I don't think Palhina's happening, been one or two other names crop up (Nunes, Diawara) but I'm hoping this is one that's going to come out of nowhere.

Apparently Korean news saying "The Bull" is due at Wolves for his medical this weekend. Loan with an option to buy.

No clue if that's true or people chatting bubbles because Sky don't show Korean Sports News so we can't really check.

Also rumoured to not be in Leipzig's squad for their game tomorrow.

This Korean journo says the same as you Kenneth.
