Summer 2019 Transfer Thread

Linked with Lemina again. This time suggesting we want him on loan at first

Seems to be quite a lot of links with Lemina. Really didn't make an impression on me last season.

Nothing wrong with Lemina coming in on loan to add a body in midfield. Can always get rid end of season if we have a good year and get a proper target.

Can’t see saints refusing the loan if they want rid.

Lemina doesn't improve us and doesn't bring anything we don't already have so theres no point.

"Could do a job, get him in"

Hi Mick McCarthy, is that you?

If we are actually in for him, he's another safety net signing. Try for the big boys but make sure we have a backup on board just in case. We don't want to be scrabbling round on deadline day trying to get another body in for the sake of it.

He's only on loan so no biggie.

Disagree with this. We currently lack a midfielder who can dribble through bodies and carry us forward. Moutinho, Neves, Saiss, and Dendoncker are all very much "pass first" players.

Lemina blows hot and cold but he can at least go by a defender or two from central positions.

Did you see Wolves first goal against Man Utd in the FA Cup? It shows at least Moutinho is well capable of "dribbling through bodies". Perhaps the "pass first" is how the midfielders are being coached to play?

@TransferChecker
Wolves’ interest in Kessie is absolutely genuine, but they’re having the same issue they had with Cutrone.

Kessie doesn’t believe Wolves are a big enough club for him, but would consider the move if Milan make it crystal clear they want him to leave.

Twitter reporting that Arsenal - thought they had no money? - have had a bid turned down for Kessie

More made up than guesswork for them

People were reporting they had no money at the start of the window, since then they have spent 100 million, including 70 on one of the most promising talents in the world if you ask me. And are also apparently close to a 25-35 million pound signing of Tierney. So I think the talk of their lack of money was mistaken.

Still not bought a central defender though.
