Utter tripe. In all my years being around people on the left in various organisations I have never once met anyone who is anti-semitic. I have met plenty anti- Zionist. You don't want to see the difference.

You appear to assume that just because I don't agree with far right extremists I must therefore agree with the pro-palestinians - while I agree with (some) of their grievances, I do not agree with how they go about it.

What I think of the relative merits or otherwise of the cause is separate to how I view the police handling it.

With regards to treating all protesters/people equally, that is fine, except in the case of these absokute drunken thugs/retired football hooligans.
They cannot hold a reasonable, intelligent debate as they only know drinking, fighting and comparing their wounds like war medals after a clash with the police or whoever. They only understand brute force and getting nicked.
So by all means photograph them and nick them later, but a fucking good wacking will teach them a more lasting lesson.
Sort of a pavlovs dogs treatment for numpties.

Genocide by Israel doesn’t excuse anti-semitism.

Anyway, not the place really but imo extremists of both sides are very intolerant of others and others opinions.
 
As for zionism/anti semetism.
I believe the jewish nation has a right to defend itself, but i think Netanyahu is a totally useless cunt, whose policies are extreme, selfish, and bear no relation to the thoughts and feelings of the vast majority of israelis, both in and out of Israel.
So where does that put me, and millions like me, on the anti semetist list

However, what I will agree with you on is that was an unbelievably crass and misjudged comment. But that doesn't mean he hates Jewish people and wants to persecute Jews, which is anti-semitism.
 
Currently watching the Nottingham 'protest' and counter-protest. The 'protest' numbers are tiny, incidentally.

Thankfully peaceful so far and pretty low key. The optimist in me hopes it doesn't degenerate as night falls

What are they protesting about?

Apparently there is a protest in Stoke too. No idea what they're protesting about either.
 
No clue either. Lots of England and Union Jack flags waving and football style chants. It's not really coherent.

The counter protest has a prominent Palestinian flag and one guy with a Save The Bees sign 😅

So the Romanian gypsies in Leeds attacking police, burning police cars and busses shouldn't be treated the same by the police?
What about the Islamic demonstration outside Rochdale police station threatening violence, if the people who had attacked the police in Manchester airport weren't released?
As the protesters seem to be moaning about 2 tier policing, don't you think this plays in to their hands?
I find it quite alarming that you are advocating police violence against one section of the community.
My opinion is police treating people differently, because of their political ideology, religion or ethnicity, only will cause more division, hate and mistrust.
