Snooker

Has she really just said "the tension is really ratcheting up" at 17-11? Fuck me this has been really bad, so many errors and poor choices.

Its the first Ive watched tonight, not watched snooker in many years, you snooker fans will probably jump on me but the quality looks really poor compared to past eras to me, so many unforced errors.

It's an anomaly of a tournament tbh, just weird stuff happening and no one playing well

Also depends what eras you're referring to, watch some 80s stuff back and it's really low scoring, and there was a reason why Hendry walked it all the way through the 90s.

The right winner in the end, won't go down as a vintage final or tournament but a World title is a World title.

Jones into the top 16 from no 44 a fortnight ago.

Gilbert up to 22 (15 on the one year list), good progress and he can definitely look to move into the top 16 later this year.

In sad news Dene O'Kane has died, only 61. Was a good player in the late 80s/early 90s.

Gone early on the April Fools Day bantz if it isn't.

He deleted a tweet about it earlier.
The extra ball can only be potted if you make a 147. Then you get a chance to get a 167. A dream break no one thought was possible
Higgins nearly got the 167 yesterday - but finished about 2mm away from the yellow after 15 reds/blacks. Half a million quid if he'd have made it.

The seats were 80% empty and people were literally walking around as he was playing ffs

Only place to put this I suppose, I’m a massive fan, along with my Wife of Pool, the nine ball World Championship starts tomorrow on Sky, I’ll be recording it and watching it every night for most of next week.

Michael White sent down for 3 years for domestic abuse and kicked off the tour for life.

Definitely a middle pocket shot but those are very difficult into such a thin pocket so I understand why he went for the cut. Particularly if like me hes usually good at thin cuts and has more confidence in those. It was a good effort too and a little unlucky not to drop.

It was a poor shot on the pink tbf though. You'd much rather finish a bit high on the black than on the cushion and in no man's land.

Yeah, top pros would be very disappointed with that (I'd probably take it if I were playing it :D). So much space to land into for at least a reasonable chance, no way you should be overhitting it, wasn't like he needed to hit the pink hard to go in.
