Snooker

Gone early on the April Fools Day bantz if it isn't.

He deleted a tweet about it earlier.
The extra ball can only be potted if you make a 147. Then you get a chance to get a 167. A dream break no one thought was possible

OK, so unlikely to happen then and if it does it's completely and utterly pointless sporting wise so I'm guessing it comes with a £1m prize?

No mention of cash but probably full on Saudi style and its $167m

What a load of shite. So that gold ball just sits there in the way until every other ball on the table has been potted?

Most frames people don't bother potting the black after the final pink so it's just going to be a PITA getting in the way.

Sounds like an idea from someone who hasn't got a clue about snooker.

I presume the gold ball only appears on the table after the 147. Rather than part of the game all the way through. Where they put it, don't know.

Its a gimmick designed to give a Saudi tournament something different from the others and have a new highest break in snooker. Chances are the gold ball will never been seen...but it does get people talking about the Tournament over there.

Tell you what, I really wish they'd just fuck off and leave perfectly good sports/spectacles/competitions alone. Ruined golf, damaged football, dicking about with boxing and now this. And you just know there'll be a LIV style snooker super league soon, then tennis will follow. Awful fucking pricks.

The sad thing is that snooker is rife with people who'll happily take the money because it's tough to earn decent money on tour unless you're a top 16 player.

Just look how many of the top players were happy to bin off the Northern Ireland Open because Macau had offered them a wedge to go play there.

Been watching some of the qualifying for the Worlds this week and some of the standard is just shocking. All of the women lost heavily. Reanne Evans 10-0 and about three others 10-1 including the current Women's World Champion. Jimmy White was rubbish and lost 10-3.

In other news I knocked in a 95 clearance in my local league last night 💪

Wow, impressive stuff! Well done mate.

Yeah the qualifiers are always ropey stuff. Until the very final round anyway. Robbo has to go through that round this year as he's been mince for a while.

They had to stop coverage at 11pm because they didn't have permission to go past that time. Took another 20 mins to finish it.

Gilbert is 19/10 to win the first session vs Luca tomorrow, I've had a bit of that.

Luca has been utter shite since he won it last year. 46th on the one year list.

Gilbert played well against Guodong, but he's also really struggled for results this season. I still think Brecel will have enough to win as he'll want to put on a good show of defending his title. But first session only, yeah maybe.

I'd be more interested in Vafaei against Trump, who has often struggled in early rounds of tournaments.
