Sheff Wed (A) Build-Up

Agree with Cyber can't see us getting anything this game.

Given that we are playing Price and KMac deep to try to solidify our defensive frailties; I think Coady and Price would work ok (until Coady makes a rash challenge and gets sent off).

We have to play someone other than DE and/or Henry today - I'd like to replace both but I'll be ok with 1 of those two not playing!

Wouldn't be adverse to the three in midfield of Coady, Price and K-Mac, or Wallace if K-Mac doesn't make it.

Then Graham ---- Afobe ----Byrne ahead of that, although I would take Alfie if he started instead of Byrne.

Something needs to change, that's for sure.

if he continues with both Henry & Edwards in the starting line up today, then that will suggest he's not looking at the performances realistically.

Henry and Edwards aren't the reason we lost last time.

Easy targets for the mob.

Sorry but that's how it feels at the moment.

I agree to an extent, given that Henry has popped up with a few goals and assists then perhaps it is harsh on him. But neither him or DE have looked like they are playing particularly well - and as something needs to change Tey seem to be the obvious 2.

Your first line I agree with. However they are a big reason why we didn't score more goals.

Your second line is nonsense. They're both playing very poorly and their replacements produced better attacking results in the last game.

you have to change a losing system at some point. Yes Henry gets the odd goal, but being in the team as a winger, he has to be able to get some decent balls into the box. Why he's not practising in training ? and if he is, makes it even worse.

It's my opinion Johnny so it isn't nonsense.
I disagree with your opinion that they're playing very poorly too. That's ok, it's allowed.

Graham's delivery wasn't great - but he commits defenders. He still popped up with a tremendous assist. He's got as many assists in 5 games than Edwards has in the last 18 months.

I'm a fan of Henry when he's at his best, he's a good player at this level. When he's struggling it is painful to watch. Can't beat a man, his delivery is abysmal and he drifts around offering nothing. It is in his best interest to give him a break.

Edwards is playing as a number 10. In the last two games he has produced no shots, no linking of play, has provided no support for the striker (forever 30 yards away when the ball's held up) and has created no chances. He's fulfilled literally none of the criteria for that position. If that's not playing poorly I'm not sure what is.

He's beat his man numerous times?! He's not as quick as Graham but he's a very good player IMO.

Graham went missing for 30 mins and dived around but it seems that's forgotten.

Dunno why Wallace isn't getting a go in the 10 role. He can't be any worse. I thought that was why we signed him.

As I said, I like Henry but for me he's not playing well at the moment. Byrne was infinitely better when he came on.

I'll cut Graham a bit of slack (not for diving) given his lack of experience at this level. He's done really well for us since coming in.

Absolutely, from watching the videos of him at Pompey, he seemed to switch from the wing into a no 10 quite often and with ease, which is what got me excited about him when he signed. It seems like we are just wasting him and Byrne, and Holt to an extent. These guys could be game changers and yet they are languishing on the bench, that's a mark on the manager.

I presume we are on Sky today?

Nope. It's been moved because we played on Thursday.

Exactly: job of a no 10 is to score goals and create chances. To be the fulcrum of the attack. Not to "cover every blade of grass" or "put a shift in."
