Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

What a game of rugby. I'm exhausted just from watching it.

We just about deserved to hold on. Great defence won that game in the end.

Wow. See you in the final then Boyos...

Well, we should definitely end up on the better side of the draw now as long as we don't do anything stupid in the remaining pool games.

Probably France in the quarter final, which is doable and then probably South Africa in the semi-final.

In other news, Piers Francis has been cleared by the disciplinary committee and can play in the next England game.

Wales v Oz - What a game that was.
Wales easily won the first half, then the Aussies made a come back in the 2nd half but Wales held on in the end.

Thought Hooper should have had a yellow card for his late challenge on Biggar. (Bit of Karma for Biggar after his flying high tackle on Itoje at Twickenham.)

A good rest now until the next game so it's looking good.

Scotland get their first win by beating a poor Samoa side 34-0.

Still, a win is a win, with a bonus point too. Scotland's game against Japan is looking juicy.

BTW it seems that the later in the day you play, the worst the handling conditions are.

Seemed alright for Wales and Australia.

Scotland aren’t beating Japan on that performance

France in being shit and getting away with it shocker. England will destroy them.

France only played in the first 20 mins and the last 20 mins. They did enough and got the bonus point. Hope they play like that against England :).

Even the All-Blacks are dropping the ball with the 90% humidity; 6 handling errors in 30 mins, then Scott Barrett butchers a try.

28-0 HT

The ABs will be disappointed with that, so watch out in the 2nd half.

NZ double their first half score in 11 mins.

63-0 after 58 mins

Canada's discipline has gone under the extreme pressure from NZ

Ardie Savea comes on for NZ wearing goggles, the 1st player to do so in the WC.

Game finishes 63-0.

Nearly 30 handling errors in the game. These closed grounds are creating problems for players esp. with the high humidity.

30 handling errors? Sounds like the game I play in each weekend :icon_lol:

That’s still one hell of a statement. Definitely want to avoid the All Blacks side of the draw. If England hump Argentina then the game against France could be amusing. Loser avoids that nasty side of the draw, although Wales would still be in wait you would imagine. Do you want to go Australia - New Zealand or Wales - South Africa as a route to the final (in the most likely scenario).

I must admit I will be hoping England beat France while hoping against hope that Italy could beat the Boks.

.. while hoping against hope that Italy could beat the Boks.

:) :) bloody hell Paddy, can I have some of what you are using?

Seriously though, I've always been an advocate that whatever lies ahead, always win your next match. We haven't lost to the Aussies for a while, and we've beaten NZ before so bring it on.
