Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

Reece Hodge has been banned for three games for his head high tackle for Australia against Fiji.

Hodge, who is free to return to action from October 12, has 48 hours to appeal the decision.

Two interesting games today. I would expect certainly England and in all probability Italy to come out on top but USA and Canada are decent second tier sides and I would expect them both to give a good account of themselves.

That is a high quality half by England. Play like that and France and Argentina won’t be able to live with them.

Very much a second string side from England too.

That's the second try Cokanasinga has butchered.

What a run from Genge. All those speed bumps. This time Cokanasiga scores.

Thoroughly professional performance. England look pretty damn good. The business end of the tournament should be brilliant as all the big guns seem to be firing (even South Africa looked good in defeat to the superb All Blacks). The quarter finals are going to be four absolute quality matches by the look of it.

Decent overall performance by England, though what the feck they were doing buggering around when the gong went I have no idea.

You aren't going to get any more points by scoring again so just kick it off the pitch & end the game. Gave up an unnecessary consolation try to USA spoiling the clean sheet.

They were having fun as they wanted to be over 50 points.

Nothing more, nothing less. The game was dead and the seven against isn't likely to cost them at all. I wouldn't worry

There wasn't any worry, but couldn't see why they were bothering. Conditions there were apparantely very hot & humid so no point extending yourself more than neccesary.

I'm glad USA didn't get 'nilled', as they would have been the first in World Cups, according to the TV commentators.

Really?

I am sure New Zealand must have nilled someone like Namibia back in the day
