Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Got no personal beef with Edwards, but we all know the reason he's at Wolves is nothing to do with his ability or performance as a manager.

He stinks of Shi and his failure legacy and will have to go as soon as this season finishes (at the latest) for us to be able to draw a line under this sorry chapter and attempt a reboot

I don’t want this to sound, well, you know, but I’d find the undoubted logic of needing to stick with him for 5 more months easier to accept were I able to ignore the games for that period by not actually being there. And, yes, I could always choose not to go, but I’d rather as it’s what we do.

Someone made the point that Warnock or Pulis would have got us a couple of points and possibly a win over this Rob Edwards spell, and they're probably right. It would have been horrible, nasty and dour, but i think they would have.
So horrible, nasty and dour but with a point or two!

Bloke on twitter was defending him earlier, saying he’s in the team because he scores a lot of scruffy goals so we stand a chance of getting a point here and there.
I pointed out he’s scored 3 in 2 seasons, got blocked by him
Twitter can get to fuck with their fascist owner. I’d rather read runes in my shit.

I would take anything, literally anything, to see us get something out of a game!

Rather than this bullshit whereby we kid ourselves that were in games whilst the score is 0-0.

Think I would argee. Whilst our squad is a mess I feel we have better quality than Luton, Blackpool, Sheffield Utd, couple of the Norwich and Burnley sides that all got more than 2 points in their respective seasons, as all had a sense of system and style.

Our 25 point season had Hennessey, Foley, Berra, Ward, Jarvis, Kightly and Fletcher.

Absolutely all of them teleported from 2012 would walk into our team now.

Yeah i agree but that wasn't my point. I was saying there are worst teams historically that haven't been as abject as us this season. Particularly under Edwards who has performed more like an over promoted interm than a real manager.

You ok hun? xx
You’re enabling a guy who’s an old school apartheid denier. Fuck you and the rest of you cunts who still frequent his site.

Edit - sorry, forgot the xx you cunt.

I don't think there are.

We've created a team where no goalkeeper or right back in the entire squad is anywhere near fit for purpose (and that's 6 players, earning Premier League money, they're all bloody dreadful), every centre half is flawed, the left backs only approach mediocre on a good day, there is no creativity from midfield and literally no depth if one of the main two is unavailable, no wingers at all, £40m of "talent" in Arias and Lopez that is a complete waste of fucking time (I'm not sure which one is worse) and we've somehow ended up with two giants up front that we never want to play together.

We're a very very very bad team. The Luton team was better than ours.

Most of those were newly promoted so had heart if little ability, ours may have a little ability in 1 or 2 areas, but no heart. I'd have Carlton Morris or Gary Taylor Fletcher over this version of JSL even though in theory it's not close talent wise.

Individually there are two or three players in our squad that are clearly decent if they have the right players around them. André, Gomes and JSL showed that last season but in the absence of someone to get the ball up the pitch in the way RAN, Semedo and Cunha did, they have looked poor. Last season we had a team that with the six mentioned above, plus Agbadou playing well, was more than the sum of its parts. Now we have a squad without anyone to create or lift the players around them so the team is actually less than the sum of its parts. Quite some achievement for a team after 8 years in the PL.

They are all better "teams" that is the point.

But we have individuals that would get into those Luton, Southampton, Derby, Norwich and Sheffield United teams comfortably. We have 2 CMs who are recent Brazil internationals, JSL, Krejci, Sa, Arias, Agbadou etc have all shown they have a ceiling far higher than they are showing now.

Did any of them have absolutely zero pace in the squad bar one right back who can't play football?

Or NO wingers? How did that even happen?!

I can thumb through the squads of all those teams and at least notionally picture how they would look to set up and win. I have no idea how we're supposed to win a game.
