Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Rubbish.

It's inevitable really but hopefully he doesn't get too much abuse when he fails.

Shi and the playing squad should be absolutely hounded from now until the end of the season, starting in a fortnight when we get smashed by Palace.

I certainly won't be getting on his back (unless he goes with crazy teamsheets and tactics). He just needs to get the 'best' from what he's got which isn't much. It's gunna be grim for the rest of the season then we'll see how he does in the Championship.

I keep thinking when is it going to properly turn and it never does. Going as far back as Brighton 0-3 when the players effectively downed tools, Leicester 0-4 it started but never carried on, Ipswich at home, Burnley at home, we've only had flashpoints.

I think against Palace it'll be more about supporting Edwards than anti-Fosun/Shi.

Morgan got lynched at PNE for far less than that rat Shi.

No doubt but I dont see the point of being angry with Edwards

He's the manager; could have stayed with Boro if he didn't want to be the face of this rotten regime.

I agree there are higher targets but he'll get a round of fucks from me when/if he makes things worse (as Vitor and GON did, both of whom got more than a fair crack of the whip from fans)

“I think the fans should appreciate that we’ve made history by having the lowest point total in league history” - Shi in May ‘26

On a separate note, Boro fans seem incredibly and disproportionately salty about Edwards leaving, even their local BBC FFS :D

Absolute state of that. Embarrassing

He seems like a decent bloke so I can kinda stomach the appointment, as we could have Pep in charge and it wouldn’t make a difference.

“Back him in the window” seems like bullshit to me. If we’re still 8 adrift there won’t be any point.

Nonsense contract length too. Highly unlikely he’s here come August.

He's used all sorts. Last time he was in the PL with a poor squad he went 5 at the back and played for set pieces.
I thought to start with they were quite brave, going man for man but they quickly became demoralised and he struggled to turn that around

That's fair enough, personally I can't raise the energy to be annoyed with him, Im still surprised he wanted the job.

The longer he had at Luton and the further away they went from being a Nathan Jones team, the worse they looked.

I mentioned it earlier but when we beat them at Molineux under O'Neil they were as bad as any opposition I've seen at this level. I know their squad cost nothing in comparison but they had no plan at all how to get at a truly woeful Wolves side. He managed the game at Kenilworth Road appallingly as well, 18 other teams in that league would've killed the game when Bellegarde gets sent off.
