Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Three and a half year contract! I’ll be amazed if he’s here in a year. We’re changing the manager after we hit the iceberg and so long as Shi is delusional nothing is going to change. I wish Edwards the very best of luck, he’s going to need it.

By January the fat lady will be in full voice and we need to start recruiting for next season, though no idea if the kind of players we need will want to come until the summer as playing in a team getting beaten most weeks isn’t going to appeal to many.

Rob must have a lot of self-belief if he thinks he can save us this season or else he hasn't looked at the squad, been fed a load of bollocks by Shi(te), or else he's just stupid

Nothing wrong with being confident and backing yourself, and that can help the players, but there's really so little in the squad to work with.

Maybe the likes of Mane can do some kind of job, or he can get more out of one or two of the new signings (show of faith and playing them in a position that suits). All seems like wishful thinking though really, we're already so far adrift

I’m adamant I’m marrying Taylor Swift, about the same chance of that as him keeping us up.

I know we wont get details, but id be fascinated to hear what Jeff has promised him in January.

Can't really see the point in getting riled up by that BBC Sport Tees tweet.

Boro fans are gonna be upset - he's just ditched them after barely 4 months in charge. Most of us don't understand why he's leaving, either.

I really hope that he won't be held responsible for our inevitable relegation.

For me, any fair assessment of Edwards won't come until the first few weeks/ months of a championship campaign.

There's no chance that Edwards - or anyone else for that matter - can prevent us from going down, so I won't be judging him on trying to polish a turd

At the moment we’re on target for 8 points, I’d expect him to improve us a little. You can’t polish a turd but you can sprinkle a bit of glitter! Fail to beat Derby’s total and he can fuck right off.

Before my level of interest in this was I was at least not annoyed by it, but now I have seen that we have actively spent £3mil on it I am a little perperlexed.

It reeks of that Wolves thing, where we do what no other team at this level would do. No other team was hiring Lage, O'Neil, Vitor, trying to rehire a completely failed manager, which we have then pivoted to someone I think Is meant to just be a short term deflection.

I wonder how much Wolves have spent on sacking and recruiting managers and their backroom staff since Nuno left.

Lop cost us 10million to sack/keep quiet, VP and GON's team probably similar collectively, Lage too and now Edwards

An absolute madness, all whilst they screw fans and can't paint all the bollards.
