Rob Edwards - the prodigal son returns

Oh yeah I agreed with our percentage, but thought West Hams and Burnleys were very optimistic. Neither of those squads are any better than ours.
Yeah but they had an all important 9 and 11 point advantage…

We should be able to score 25 points over the last half. Sadly that’s going to see us finish on 28 points and comfortably relegated rather than 40 points and likely safe if we were starting on a par with Burnley.

Even another 22 points from here is very optimistic imv. If we get anywhere near half that with a quarter of the fixtures left, the 'great escape' posts will go through the roof.
It aint happening unfortunately.
I think the current bottom 3 are pretty much nailed on for the drop. Forest and West Ham will likely spend big this month.
Its possible Newcastle could get drawn in, they're not very good.

I wouldn't mind that tbh. Nothing wrong with a little hope, more than we've had for a long time.

The only way we get anywhere near there is with some kind of churn in January though. Hopefully that does happen as some of these rats are beyond redemption for me, I absolutely hate some of them.

I’m quite surprised anyone thinks there’s any chance of us staying up. The only possibility is if we catch Burnley and two other teams have huge points deductions which isn’t going to happen. From now to the end of the season is just the longest preseason in history.

Nah. Leagues a load of shite. Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea are 4th/5th/6th and they’ve been bang average. The lack of pressure is massive, you see that from yesterday.

But you are correct, we still won’t stay up. But that’s why the percentages are what they are, and West Ham’s and Burnley’s is better as they have more points, but still likely to go down.

I dont think anyone actually thinks we can stay up but as Lycan says, a little bit of hope is good for fan moral, even if that hope is better Derbys record, then make it to 20 points, then try and make it not our worst ever Premier league total, its what football fanship is all about for me. Small steps.

Yep.

Get past 11
Get past 20
Overtake Burnley (maybe even West Ham if they carry on as they are)
Get past 25

The only thing keeping us up is a GIGANTIC off-pitch scandal leading to points deductions/ expulsions

Agree with target setting, but we're playing Championship football next season

Speaking of coaching staff, who is the little South American looking guy who has started appearing? Got shoulder length black hair and 3/4 length trackie bottoms. Can't recall seeing him prior to the past few weeks

Don’t know but he seems a cheery chap. We respect his outrageous leg wear.

A West Ham view of RPS

Someone said yesterday that Nuno had aired RE at the end of the game and didn’t do the traditional handshake. Was that confirmed/mentioned anywhere else?

I did wonder if he might have been frosty towards our bench because of the RPS factor? Did it ever come to light why he didn’t join Nuno at West Ham after Forest?

Told he had to use the Academy staff. He's terrible at picking the right job after an unjust sacking

Did Nuno blank Edwards or did he just go straight down the tunnel in a huff? I think he knows he'll be out the door soon. As TT says he's poor at picking jobs.
