Rio 2016

GB wins the sevens with a superb try

Bugger - missed that (too much going on at once)

Was watching the gymnastics - amazing strength & precision but no idea who is winning apart from the fact that Adam Whitlock is still on for a medal.

Matt Baker getting over excited though - not sure its that good for him

Last gymnast goes, waiting for his score, and BBC change fucking channels. Spectacular.

Fucking hell BBC - what a time to change channels.

At least bronze for Whitlock. The Olympic channels are brilliant because you can switch straight to which sport you want to watch.

Pulling the same shit as during Wimbledon.

STOP PUTTING THE NEWS ON BBC ONE AT 6 AND 10PM. YOU DON'T NEED TO. THERE IS A SEPARATE CHANNEL.

Plus decommissioning BBC 3 in an olympic year looks a stunning decision as well.

Bronze for Whitlock, first Men's British all around medal in the gymnastics for 108 years. Impressive stuff.

Looks like South Africa v GB in the semis. 10-0 ahead against Australia.

You people (I mean your athletes ofcourse) :) are so good in every event, will you take more medals than in London?

No. We'll be down in events such as the track cycling and the rowing when compared to London.

London was amazing, and I was brand new here. :)

Looks like it will be another good olympics for you in any case.

GB won 29 golds in London, no way are we getting anywhere near that. Listening to Chris Hoy last night he was optimistic for the track cycling and the sailing reporter (whose name I forget) was also optimistic we would do better than London.

I think if we get anywhere near 15 golds I think we'll have had a good Olympics.

Makes sense, it was a great olympics for you. 65 medals, hard to beat!

We're still at zero medals in Rio, no rush. Our handball ladies are our best chance of a gold, and maybe we'd get a couple of other medals if we're very lucky.

But you're pretty good at the winter Olympics and until they start doing rain or mildly soggy and miserable associated events GB is always going to struggle.
