Relegation run in 22/23 ** Now a Wolves free zone**

I think Sunday is a perfect Sean Dyche fixture scrappy dog fight plenty of balls in the box etc can see them getting something

I suppose a draw this afternoon would be a good result for us as it keeps us up the table away from the bottom 3 but if the aim is to just finish above the 3 worst teams in the league, a forest win would put the toffees in a lot of trouble.

I’d prefer the draw. Everton are fucked anyway, that squad just doesn’t have the quality to turn it around, best they can do is hope to scrape more points than Leeds which I suppose is possible as Leeds are dog shit as well.

A draw would be the best result but I can see Everton shithousing the win, Sean Dyche style.

I truly don’t think Everton have the players to shithouse anything consistently, tbh.

Forest's home record is decent. And Everton's away record is awful.

0-1.

Everton have scored 1 in their last 8 away games I think.

How in gods name are Everton favourites for this?

No idea, crazy odds (and it's not even one outlier either). If they were playing Notts County away then they shouldn't be favourites.

Fill your boots I say.

Dyche won 1 away game last season before he got sacked in mid-April. 0 so far with Everton.

I don't know why people big him up as some master of the scrappy victory on the road, his teams tend to be absolutely shit in away fixtures.

2014/15: 3 away wins
2016/17: 1 away win
2017/18: 7 away wins
2018/19: 4 away wins
2019/20: 7 away wins
2020/21: 6 away wins
2021/22: 1 away win
2022/23: 0 away wins

One of the "good" seasons was the weird Covid year where away wins outnumbered home wins across the entire league.

And for reference, Lage (!) got us 8 away wins last season.

My reasoning is that Everton look like they're now capable of being reasonably decent with an ultra-defensive low block. Forest will come out and want to take the game to Everton. First 20-25 minutes will be all forest before Everton start to grow into the game. All depends on whether forest score in the first 20-25. My other thought is that forest have had huge dollops of luck in their results and their squad looks poor - that's not sustainable.

Also a lot will depend on whether DCL is broken, I'm not sure if he is or isn't.

Very generous to suggest Lage actually helped get those points tbf

Anything other than MGW and Coady do anything remotely good.

I am a complete resentful child when it comes to ex-players.

Coady won’t be able to do much from the bench…
