Leeds in talks with Javi Gracia according to FabRom

West Ham have got an easy draw in the Europa Conference which on balance I think is a good thing

I hadn’t looked past last night so only now see that almost all of the teams down near the bottom are at home today, the exceptions away at relegation rivals. Doesn’t mean anything in the final analysis I know, but seemingly few games where I’m confident of pleasingly convenient defeats.

The Bournemouth defeat has rocked my own confidence much more than it should or I thought it would. Luckily, how I feel personally has been proven to have little correlation with Wolves results, but, even though we were superb for large periods of last night, I’m still pissed off after the cherries popped my bubble.

Last week was a bit of a kick in the bollocks, but last night showed how good we can be, I'm hoping if we can maintain that standard of football, the more clear cut chances will start to come. Would like to see Raul get a run in the team for a few games, he was much better last night and integral to much of our forward play.
We're not out of the woods yet by a long way but I'm the most confident I've been all season.

We are averaging a point per game even after writing off nearly half a season. I don't see how we won't continue to do that as a worse case and if we do we'll stay up even if it may remain uncomfortable. The lack of goals means we are unlikely to pull off into the distance.

The likes of Fulham, Brentford and Brighton aren't better than we are now, so if we play like the upper mid table team we are it'll be fine.

Thanks both. This is the sound, reassuring therapy I came here for. Actually I think all I’m really sharing is my surprise at how long the Bournemouth hangover is lasting personally. It’s annoying.

14 points from 9 since the resumption, that would clearly have us in the top half if we had that form all season.
World Cup was a god send really as it meant we could rebuild. Similar to how Covid probably worked against a few seasons ago.

I don't think you're alone. That defeat left a bitter taste and going forward that performance is going to put the possibility of others like it firmly in the minds of Wolves fans.

The next few weeks might see us slip down a little but it'll be a false position. We're a bit inconsistent and the squad is still a little unbalanced but overall we're performing like a top half team and we'll only get better.

Its the fact that after the euphoric beating of Liverpool and the gutsy comeback away to Southampton, we knew that all we needed to do was beat a poor Bournemouth side to put some daylight between us and the bottom 3. The disappointment at fucking up that chance was great and I am still struggling with it though I still think we will survive, just our current position could have been far more comfortable.

After beating Liverpool I felt we were capable of beating anyone on our day. Losing to Bournemouth highlighted that we're still capable of losing against anyone too

I feel like there’s a stage every season where it looks like all the teams at the bottom are getting results and the bar to stay up will be quite high. When it comes to it though it pretty much never works out that way. I wonder if it’ll be more than 35 points in the end this year?

If we could get a win in one of the next 3 to stay at a point a game then I’m confident we’ll be fine

We still are capable of beating anyone but we will still get performances like the Bournemouth one occasionally, it's the nature of football. It will always be frustrating when fall below the standards set for most of our games under JL but overall in our games we look so much better now. I'm not counting any chickens yet due to our goal scoring/creation problems but I'm more confident now than at any time in the previous 2 seasons.

The first half last night showed what a good side we can be.
Some of the pressing and passing was excellent. I'm confident we will not be relegated.

The thing is looking on some other boards, most of the other teams are also confident they won't go down. I think it's still going to be touch and go for us but I'm calmer about it as I thought we were already buried before Lopetegui came in.

Carragher said on Sky last night that we wouldn't go down.

I was expecting 7/12 from the Feb games as a really good progression towards safety. Wasn't expecting it the way it turned out - could easily have been more.

Slightly tricky month coming up but not much to be afraid of, I don't think

Liverpool we already know. Away will be a different kettle of fish but fundamentally Klopp doesn't change the way they play a whole lot, so we should still have an idea of how to play them. They will be stronger though with van Dijk back and Jota available. Would take a point right now, we're not Madrid and not going to put 5 past them.

Spurs on a short week will be tough but they're having a difficult time with injuries. Much as we are goal shy they're playing Fraser Forster in goal, for god's sake. Genuine chance to get at them as they're not exactly laced with defensive talent. We'll have to endure Kane getting everything given to him and there's obviously danger up front (really like Kulusevski) but think we have a chance here.

Personally don't think Newcastle are all that, we should've beaten them before. They're dogged more than anything but we've improved a lot since then and they're starting to slip a little. Definite chance of getting something.

Leeds really the big one, we owe them and have a really good chance to deal them a big setback. Shame we don't get to put one over that prick Marsch but all the same if we play as well as we can we should be able to win.

Best case scenario I think we can go unbeaten. I don't think we will but there's a chance we pick up more than one win. Feeling reasonably confident.

It’s going to get a bit nervy over the next few games as we’ll probably slip back down a few places.

4 wins and a couple of draws from 14 games should do it, and it sounds easy enough…
